Peanut

Omer she's on FIRE. Had to skip the Marshall hunt cause of our club meeting and hunt last night. I got voted in for board of directors and I'm the HTX Hunt director now. Any way had club hunt last night, drew out with GrNt, Pkc Champion and put a whooping on'em. 500+ no minus, no circle. She looks great, everyone I've hunted with says she is one of the nicest B&T they have EVER seen. She is split treeing regularly and has the coon every time with the occasional den. It's hard to describe, but Peanut is just tearin it up.
Going to take a break this week, we have hunted 9 out of the last 10 nights. My feet hurt and Peanuts voice is getting a little course. Plus we still have to win the Little World Hunt this weekend.

With a ped. like theirs no wonder that they are winning!

Leon your more then welcome to go hunting. I plan on being out there on Monday and hunting all week.
Will probably hunt the $KC hunt on Wednesday night, All Black Hunt Thursday, and UKC Friday and Saturday night. Hoping Peanut won't be in heat at that time. Will probably also have Barney and Lucy out there not sure what dog I will hunt on what night.

Peanut and the Little World Hunt

The Little World Hunt was a lot of fun. We had about 25 dogs Friday and Saturday night despite the weather. A fella from Tennessee won the hunt with 750 Friday and another cast win on Saturday. Justin B. who is the president of our club in Holden,Mo got 4th with his Molly dog.
Me and Peanut didn't do ourselves any justice, I made a couple of trigger happy calls on Friday due to being over excited and Peanut had a slick at the end which caused us to minus out. Saturday night should have been our night. I could feel the energy she had and knew nothing would get in our way. Well the weather did and hunt time was reduced to 1 hour by vote. I drew out with a deaf judge and the eight keep catching us though I argued the whole time I could hear her treed. And she was. Tuff break, I feel bad for Peanut she has what it takes to compete.
Omer thanks for your help getting her papers to me. I WILL get that NtCh title for ya, just gunna take a couple more hunts. We are having a blast and that's what counts.

Needing Wormed

Should I de-worm Peanut? I notice a little of blood in her stool. The dog food I'm feeding has no red in it so I know it ain't that.

Think we are going to try our luck down in Stover, Mo on Lake of the Ozarks this weekend. Never hunted there, I bet it's hilly.

Hook worms

Thanks Shawn. I got that powder you put on there food for 3 days. Don't have the box any more but it gets several types of worms.

I try and worm them once a month.
In the winter months I sometimes miss a month but most generally like to do it the first week of each month.
Hows the huntin going Matt? Looks as if you had a good time at the ACHA hunt.

Hunting has been good. I feel swamped between work, home and hunting. Plus mowing season is right around the corner too. Just got a nice tax return so a Garmin is gonna get ordered, cannt decide between the 320 Astro or the new Alpha.

Peanut is doing great. Treed two last night in the snow. I think she must have caught one on the ground, I heard her fighting, then 30 seconds later she was treed. Took Slow Poke with us, he still ain't doing a whole lot.
