Scott, Ole Hickory will think he is in Florida by the time he gets down here, it will be in the 50,s and 60,s all next week hopefully knock a few coon out before season ends.

Hi Scott, talked with Gordon last night Hickory made it to Ill. I will be going to get him as soon as I get the chance, looks like maybe tue. there is a two night hunt this next weekend at st.clair I was thinking about going if I get to hunt him before then. I got his card in the mail Fri. looking forward to putting him in the woods.will keep you posted.

Hey Scott,
Thanks for letting me know you got him picked up. Been cold up here all week. I think the high yesterday was 3 degrees with -25 wind chill. He will appreciate the warmer weather if nothing else.

Took Hickory and Ralph last night treed two on the outside and a den had a good hunt, Hickory has a mouth that will be easy to call, just need to hear him tree a few more times, will keep you posted.

I bred a daughter of Albert III when I had Logan at my house and
only raised 5 out of the litter and I think there is only one male and one female left. Joe Moyer's Bonnie female is the only female left and she is something special. Joe lives in West Plains, MO. Joe's female should have just turned 4 years old.

I hope there are more Daughters of Albert III get bred to him.
The cross we made worked very well.

Logan is in Wisconsin. I did not really need Logan for a coon dog
any more so I told Scott to just keep him at his house due to the
larger number of Blue dogs up there.

Thanks for getting back to me. I've got a nice older female that I'm considering breeding to him this spring when she comes in. I've hunted with Joe Moyer's female enough to see that he's definitely throwing the right kind. I'm still looking at a few other options, but he's definitely on my short list.

How would you describe Logan's hunting style?

I have not really advertised them for sale yet until I know that she is bred for sure and we see what she has. The pups would be 200 each and you would be fourth in line. That does not include me but I may let others pick first and we will see how my young dogs start this year as to if I would pick one at all.

The question on Logan's hunting style may have been for Rick but I can give you an idea.

Logan goes hunting alone or in company. Does not check back in. You will pull him off a tree. Opens with a bawl mouth according to the track and does not stand on his head, he will work out a tough track. trees with a long locate and rolls it over to a steady chop. He is very accurate. He is a complete dog from strike to tree and that is one thing that I demand in all my dogs. He will get under a coon. I hope this does not sound like I am blowing him up but that is Logan as I see him.

He is not a pack hound. If other dogs come along with him that is fine. Last hunt he was in he treed two on his own with first and first on both. Most hunts that he was in he was split on at least one coon. He usually gets in deep quick and does his thing.

I drew Logan a couple years ago at the Fall Round Up in West Plains and from what I saw that night was a very nice hound. He split that night, got treed, and seemed very level headed. I really liked him that night.

My female is off of Albert III and a heavy Rebel/Hawk bred female that I got from Joe Moyer. She's the mother to Billy Hubbards Sam dog. She's getting some age on her, and I'd like to get something nice out of her before it's too late. I've had a couple nice young dogs out of her, but one died and the other was stolen, so I don't have anything to go on with.

I know you all said the mother to Joe's female is the only thing off of Albert 3 that you've bred to him, but have you bred any other similar bred gyps to him?

Females Bred

For the most part he has been bred to Uchtman and Rambo bred bitches. Some have had Cheif, Bullet and Jaggs Breeding in them.
I would Really like to see a female with the JetV, Jet 6 and Sioux Valley Fly II blood bred to him. A female out of Logan was just bred to a Boomer son. I really like that cross.
