-- What Was/is The Most Over-rated Stud? (http://forums.ukcdogs.com/showthread.php?threadid=89680)

I know all pups dont make coon dogs but I think the most important thing is WHO gets the pups, not just everybody can train one the right way and when the pup doesnt make it they want to put the blame on the stud dog instead of putting it where it belongs on themself. Thats my opinion.

Double check- I don't think anyone said Wagers Stylish Lipper was overrated.
If anything, he was one of the underrated dogs of our time.

mr. skyward there is some truth to what you stated. but i still don't feel that it is right for people to beable to come on here and bad mouth people and their dogs . if someone had a bad experiance with a certain stud doesn't mean that it lies entirly on the stud . we know that the best has produced junk and the worst has produced some good. for some to come on here and bad mouth dogs because so and so said somthing or they had a pup out of such and such or what ever . doesn' t give them enough facts to say that something is over and under rated. if i had a bad experiance with certain stud or female i wouldn't feel that i automaticly had the right to come on a public forum and try and destroy them. if you don't like somthing go somewere else. nobody is forced to do somthing they don't want. and if you try a stud aren't you gambling? there is no guarentee. take your lumps and try again. is there a stud that has never produced a dud ? no way... and there never is going to be perfect. another thing is that it is very e z to come on here and shoot your mug off with out your name beside it.... also when someone is advertising a stud why would you consider that is shoving somthing in your face. cant't you turn the page if you don't like something. jmo

To see the GrNt and NtCh don't mean anything that a dog reproduced. Before you breed your female call the stud owner and if he can't tell you where there is 3 or 4 pups off his dog off different females that you can go and see run and tree coons by themselves chances are he isn't reproducing. I don't know how many times you see stud dog owners at hunts and will be hunting a young dog of from someones elses dog. If the dog isn't reproducing something the owner of the stud would hunt why in the world would I want to? Something to think about.
