I'm thinking Dec 2 on that Sunday bringing him out. Let me know what your thoughts are. He will be 5 months old on the 3 and I want him to have every chance in the world to make a top hound.

Played with Lumber last night with a coon I brought home. Elmo he does have a horn on him. He will take off fairly soon I believe. Decided to go for a walk last night. Been hunting my hounds alone most of the time but decided to take Ditch Witch and my Man hound together. Had a good hunt treed 6 singles, two holes, a den tree and one real viney slick. Had a a good hunt. Decided to head home around 10:30. Merry Christmas to everyone and safe travels!

I put 5 out on the limb last night. Sounder and Maggie looked good. Ole Sounder got two layups.
I like that dog and he has the nose and hunt and accuracy I like.

Elmo, Lumber man is doing just fine, yeah he is growing and has a heck of a appettite(SP)! Going to set a trap this evening in a different spot, hopefully catch a mena ole` coon for the pups to play with. I have missed the last two nights of hunting, I have fallen asleep with my kidos both nights. Gotta make myself stay up tonight so I can hunt a hound.

If you get a chance take a picture of him. I'm trying to get on every month of his life for the first year. I like to see him grow and progress.
I didn't do any good last night. If the rain stops I will go somewhere tonight.

Guy's and Gal's I haven't said much about my Man hound in quite sometime. He is 4yrs old now and I plan on finishing him out to Dual Grand this year if god is willing and I can get myself to the hunts. Man has done a very nice job of putting coons on the limb this season. Just be be quite frank he is just a nice hound! He would compliment most hard to please kennels.
I have received some very good reports on his "only" litter (8 months). Many are doing what they were bred to do already. This has been great to hear! Anyone interested in this hounds blood and qulities please feel free to contact me. Thanks!

Thanks for the hunt. The girls really drove those coons last night. Man when the coons heard a dog the booked straight for the dens and they ran the crap out of them for sure. A person better keep his hand off the button if he knows his dog this time of year for sure.
Those dogs fighting that coon in the base of the tree with a highlight reel. I can't beleive both dogs got in that little space with that coon. They are lucky it wasn't a huge boar because they would have been in trouble.

Yeah a big boar would have played patty cake with those girls heads for sure! You know it was just one of those nights thate it seem like every ditch the coon was standing at the base of their den waiting to scurry up if a hound hit the ground trailing. At least we were able to fur them. I alos stayed in last night, plan on solo hunitng all three of my hounds tonight. Hopefully this thougth will work out and not take me to daylight Elmo thanks for coming over...You have Maggie looking real good!

Took my 5 year old boy with me Friday night. We ended up treeing two coons with Tucker's Man and his 8 month old daughter. Third time taking her o. A hunt. She ran track and treed on the first coon really well. We were able to knock the big boar out alive! It did wonders for the pup for sure. Now the second coon was a cold layup and she stayed at the tree with her daddy. But just wasn't sure. My son had a good time and I was tickled he went with me. I a I am smelling a hunting partner!

Dottie has a good mouth and great locate, Witchie has a mouth that will carry a real long ways and very excited tree dog as you hear.
Maggie good clean clear chop on tree.

Daniel we shall do it again. Maybe Lumber will be ready to play.

Decent price on hides this year. 25.00 for top coon and about 13.00 average. Lot of 20.00 coons.
They paid for a few things for sure.
Hope you get another cage coon.

Elmo prices were good for me. Averaged 14 a hide will use funds to pay for doggie food and a few leashes. I was very pleased to say the least!

Nice video of your hounds and I hope Lumber joins them next time they can hear your male tree away from the house. He sure is loud enough. Any bench pictures of Lumber yet. The little stubby boy will need to get some more leg under him. But if he is under a coon I will love him the same!
