Nothin' yet. I'm due to check them again tomorrow. At this rate I might have to take up golf for a new hobby.

We got some snow and I went cat hunting the other day, but didn't find anything to run. Now it's in the 40's and raining. I'm ready for spring.

if the wolves are checking out your sets and not commiting try puting in a blind set behind it or close by if they circle it works for me with coyotes.

I checked our set today. The wolves had worked a moose over pretty hard right in amongst the sets. There were bloody moose tracks and wolf tracks chasing them back and forth through the middle of our stuff. I can't believe we couldn't get lucky enough to snag one. In two different spots it looked like they had a stand off for a while. One of the spots had quite a bit of blood in it. The moose must have been putting up a good fight because I couldn't find where they killed it anywhere close. But I would imagine they wore it out eventually. It seems like they just take there time and wear the game out until they are too tired to put up a struggle. Then they finally finish them off. We have til the end of the month so we'll keep trying till then.

I took one of my younger females out today for a little training session. She hasn't gotten much action this winter because I've been focusing on some of the others. But she's about to get her chance soon. She should be ready to roll when spring bear season gets hear.

She does have a beautiful mouth. Smoke has put pretty and loud bawl mouths on both litters of his pups and they all sound a lot alike. Of course it doesn't hurt that her mother (Mercy) probably has the loudest classiest mouth I've heard on a female. Hearing her locate and lock down treed is pretty impressive.

The great state of Kentucky has opened bear hunting with hounds..... 4 weeks of training ond one week for kill.... They havn't posted the dates yet... I guess ole Carley will get her chance to run and tree bear here after all....

Well the wolves are still playing games with us. We finally got a hold of one, but it got out. There's only a few days left of season. We will be making some equipment changes for next year. I knew they were a smart critter, but I had no idea they were this intellegent and wiery. You see tracks every time you go hunting and you think it can't be that hard, but outsmarting a wolf is a lot harder than I figured. We will be back after them this fall with a whole new game plan and all new hardware.

Getting ready to start roading the dogs and getting them in shape for bear season. If it would ever stop raining.

We're headed north to meet up with Brian for the annual B.C. Canada Field Trial this weekend. I should be sittin' back drinking a cold one and lookin' at the Canadian mountains in a couple of hours.

Yeah, I had to work last weekend. But we're headed into bear camp this weekend to start knockin' the rust off em. I got the Tri-tronics charged up and ready.
