Sounder

I really am not kidding. I am looking for something to really push in the hunts. Ukc and Pkc. My deacon dog is not really ready and I sold my rock dog with a first place win. Lookin for something to really push hard.

Darren you wouldn't have wanted him. Did did OK but was a little loose on tree from some reason but we tried. I need to hunt them steady I just don't know that I will. Time will tell

Elmo I've got a pup coming from Matt turner Sunni female and Kidd and I was wanting to know a little about your hounds style, go yonder blow a hole up in the world hunting dogs? Mouth? Just doing a little home work on lineage, kind of checking it out. I like a larger hound that's not afraid of the dark, with plenty of heart and grey matter between those long ears. I've got a male off tree daddy and Lou that if the pup makes it I plan on crossing the two up so any info or advice would be appreciated thanks

John they seem to have a good look to them. They have nose and stay put treedogs. They go hunting with or without company and seem to start early. They have good hound mouths on them. I think it should be a great cross If you have the 2011 BBCHA Book I wrote a article about my hounds it will give you a lot of back ground on what and where they came from We win some we loose some in the hunts just like every body else. I like a year around coondog not just a summer time dog. If they can't tree coonss year around I don't want them period. I don't worry about full moons, cold, snow, and all that stuff. I turn them loose and expect them to tree me coons somewhere.
I didn't have a good hunt at the Uchtman hunt but that is how life goes. No excuses just dogs are dogs.

Thanks Elmo I read some of your post on this site and on Matt's and use to have an utchman / solid rock bred dog back in the late 80's that came from Newell standridge that was the best dog I've ever owned. If your ever back up in Ohio let me know and we will go for a hunt thanks again

Got a call from a guy who has Sounders littermate sister and he loves everything about her. I hope she continues to tree him many coons. She is a very nice split tree dog with a male dog mouth.

Our pups are looking good,heat was hard on them so we brought them in the house.getting spoiled so you have a little of your line here in the Buckeye State.Looking forward to getting these into the woods.ended up with 6 males and 6 females.nice litter.Philip let a good one slip through his hands and i`m not complaining.take care and try to stay cool.

Sounder and Magic are doing well and I should start getting back in the woods soon and maybe I will get them finished at some point.

Finally got in the woods last night

I hunted with Hank Taber with his Sugar female off Kixx and Phil Vogel with his littermate to Scar. She got one on the outside. Magic split twice with bushy trees.
Not sure he had them or not.

Tracking was tough. We alway have a good hunt whether we do great or not.

I'm just happy to get back out and hunt.

I sure do like Hanks Sugar female. She is going to be something special and looks to die for.

Sounder and Magic both are tough hounds in their own right. I need to hunt them up and I'm guilty for not doing so. So I take most of the blame.
I may try to go to the world hunt being that Magic is qualified but I need to hunt him hard big time or their is not reason to waiste my money.

My fault

I know I have not been in many hunts the last two years and not promoting my dogs like I should. I hope to get things turned around but it's just been hard to go when I have to drive so far to turn one loose. I have two excellent dogs here in my kennel that I'm not afraid to turn loose anywhere. Someday they look like a million dollars and and day or two not so much but they are bred right and should reproduce if given a chance.

I will find motivation somehow and just not sure when that will happen.
I have not fell off the face of the earth. I will be back.
Thanks for breeding to my dogs in the past and hopefully in the future.
