Thank, guys! Looks like the plan about sending him to central Ohio fell through. We still plan to get him qualified and in a few hunts this year. Several females are booked to be bred to him. We will Super Stake him when bred.

It was a long trip but I think it will be worth it if you guys help me get them finished. I would like to have a litter of 5 or 6 and get them in good hands and have a race to get them finished like John Davis did on the Scar and lizzy litter. Ole 7 is a looker and I was most amazed at James' house a real log cabin.

He lives so far back that my Tom Tom couldn't find him he had to come to civilization and let me follow him there.

WE had a great time while we were there. If this works we will probably will get to see him again. Thanks all for the good time and best of all having friends like James and Carl Hanselman from Goshen Ohio. All we lacked was having Dean Miller there with some of that Virginia Koolaid.

Thanks again for all you've done! I count it a blessing to have you as my good friend.
I counted it up, Bruce, your "round trip" to my home was 27 hours, wow!

I was down with the worse case of gout in my feet the last couple years near quit hunting and here lately you told me about that old time remedy medicine, "Lump Alum/Rock Alum" as i was taking 4 pills daily and your medicine has worked wonderfully, now I'm taking 1 pill a day from the Doctor and hope to be back 100% so I can get back to training dogs.
I wish we had more time to sit and visit and hunt, we sure will next time!

It was a pleasure meeting your friend Mr.Carl Hanselman, he is very nice gentleman and so knowledgable in the Black and Tan hounds,, It was good to hear what he had to say about an old dog Dale Sowder had owned"Go Joe" in my dogs lineage.
I'd love to see Mark Reavis do a biography on Carl Haselman.

We are letting people know now, to get their name on the list here for; Applegates Magnum Maggie x Smokey 7- pups, should be some dandies if all goes well and she has puppies.

Just want to let people know, Bruce Hobbs and I spoke earlier and decided if Maggie has 5 or 6 pups then we will super stake these pups.
We want these pups to go to the more serious Competition hunters.

Bruce Hobbs is the man to talk to about getting on the list.

Party Girl is getting heavy with pups at 5 weeks along.

I'm glad to hear from my good friend "Bruce Hobbs" that Applegates Maggie is getting heavy with pups!

We want to let everyone know we decided to let a friend
in south west Indiana hunt and handle Smokey 7 through the summer for us.

If anyone is interested in breeding to Smokey 7 in June or July this year,, contact Brock or myself and we can give you the information you need to get your female bred in south west Indiana near Illinoise state line.

Smokey 7 is now in Mt.Carmel - south west Indiana.
Being hunted by Ryan Banks, he will be hunting/handleing S7 in UKC/PKC throughout the summer,, Ryan is in the woods hunting just about every night of the week! he is the guy we've been looking for, for some time now.

Anyone out west interested in breeding to Smokey 7 this summer while he is on the Illinoise and Indiana state line?

james and brock.... we had a good hunt tonight made four trees saw three coons. hunted bout two hours the tracks were cold and the moon was bright but 7 did a nice job and also for james 7 had some help on the last tree of the night from his son!!! and when he comes on the wood he is a TREE DOG!!!! I will be in touch
