Four guys I have looked up to :

Terry Coulter. Excellent handler.

Randy Davis. Knows his dogs.

Steve Dunn. Winner. Knows what is takes to get one ready to win. Learned alot from him.

Paul Ginerich. Knows exactly what the dog(s) are doing at all times. Every time i have hunted with him i learned something.

My dad teaches me something new everytime I go hunting with him (I'm suppose/THINK I know everything already LOL). He's pretty good with a dog, if he can put sometime in em, he's going to bring the best out in them. He just flat know's a dog! Ronnie Houston is a Great Handler, and my cousin Tony Glancy is also a great handler, and knows what is takes to get one ready to win.

I'm an old timer who's lived in mid MO all my life.Most of You won't remember the guys I consider the very best.Many of the dogs theese guys worked with were grade dogs,but if they told You it was a coon dog you could bet it would be!! I really miss theese guys, they are Wilbur Jennings,Huey Garrison,and Grover Williams.

If i had to pick just one who has influenced my life on coondogs, breeding , training, knowing what their doing, what to put up with and what not to tolerate, what they will out grow when i"m ready to cull ! Gary Uchtman hands down!!

Cheating or twisting the rules around just to win, Is not a good DOG MAN. I 've seen the difference.
