Yes they would.

That's not an endorsement of Vandy by any stretch of the imagination.

That's just how bad the WAC is.

Matter of fact there are some high schools that would have a winning record in the WAC.

I think vandy belongs in a high school league. They are an embarasment to the SEC. The officials are sure trying to make sure Auburn wins. Terrible officiating!

cant argure that there has been some bull S%$@ calls so far. the razorbacks will pull it off still. and vandy would do good in the wac or a confrence like that

kentucky and ole miss would be strong in the most other confrences

if a head coach can't stop one player in newton then he needs to be fired. Yes auburn will loose 2 games and so will LSU.

Lsu will beat them next week. Then Lsu will get beat by Alabama and Arkansas. I said all along Every SEC team will have 2 losses. Along way to go and I could easilly be wrong. No SEC team is great. There are some good ones but no stand out. Most look good at home and bad on the road. That is not the signs of a good football team. I have no comment on the pitiful defense played by both Arkansas and Auburn. Arkansas coach let one player beat them. Pretty sad if you ask me. I new Nebraska wasn't any good, they just proved that. Now all that needs to happen is Oaklahoma needs to loose a game. Hopefully that will happen next week. I sure hope Alabama doesn't loose another game until the SEC championship game. Ohio state did good I was glad to see that. I hope everyone realizes what I've said all along, lol Pryor is TERRIBLE! I would like to see Oregon and Boise in the national championship game. Nevada screwed Boise by loosing at Hawwai.

Posted by Ray Lilly on 10-17-2010 11:45 PM:

The worse thing that could happen is Boise St. and TCU play for the National Championship. I'm not say they are'nt as good as some other top teams I'm just saying until they play somebody they should'nt even have a chance at all. It's ridiculous that Boise beat Virginia Tech who turned around and got beat by JAMES MADISON at home. After VT they play absolutly NOBODY and get a clear shot at the title. If it comes down to Boise St and Tcu it will be the 1st National championship game I hav'nt watched.
As bad as my Bulldogs have started the season I think there turning the corner and will hopfully beat Florida this year.

Its as simple as this. Agree or not! TCU has the best defense in the country and Boise has the best offense! No way they will play each other for the title. 1 of the 2 will be lucky to play for it just because the confrence they play in. I bet Oregon chokes as number 1 anyone want to bet on that? LOL

Posted by mjones on 10-18-2010 01:01 AM:

mr ray i hope your right about them dawgs. they have looked like crap all year i believe its the coaching cause they have the talent.

if its a boise tcu title game it will be a pityful year for the bcs.

lsu want beat auburn i hope and wish they do but lsu sucks.
les miles sold his soul to the devil to be as lucky as he is.

hound hunter its easy to look like the best when you dont play anybody.put tcu and boise in a real confrence and see what they look like. vandy could play with boise

Vandy reminds me of school girls wanting to play with the high school team lol. Boise would beat them by 40 just like they do every other below average team they play. Its one thing to squek wins out week after week, its another to dominate every team you play. I got news for you all. Ain't no team NONE going into Boises stadium and coming out with a victory. Virginia Tech is a good football team, they will win out and they should only have 1 loss. They have been dominating there games.

every team they play is below average.

If Boise, TCU, or Oregan played in the SEC there would be new names for DRUMS. If Boise beats Vandy by 40 then they they probably arent any better than Georgia.

You may be right, but, look back not too long ago! I don`t remember the
score, but Utah, yes Utah put a hurt on Alabama. On the other hand,
Georgia laid it on Boise St. College football can drive us die-hard fans crazy sometimes! As in my Buckeyes absolutely stinking up the state of
Wisconsin Saturday night. After that joke of a game, I hope there is a huge wake up call in Columbus!

Last Weekend

I think we learned that Pryor and Robinson are running backs playing the Quarterback position. Can they win games, yes. Can they win big games consistantly, no.

The only hurdle in Sparty's way to playing in the championship game is Iowa.

Georgia laid it on Boise St.

Didn't they though!

"ATHENS, Ga. (AP)—D.J. Shockley was worth the wait, teaming with a revamped Georgia defense to give Boise State a jarring lesson in big-time football.

Finally getting to start as a senior, Shockley threw five touchdown passes and ran for another score in the season opener, leading the 13th-ranked Bulldogs to a stunningly easy 48-13 victory over No. 18 Boise State on Saturday.

Jared Zabransky and the high-scoring Broncos were totally overwhelmed by Georgia, which didn’t seem to have any trouble replacing David Pollack, Thomas Davis and Odell Thurman, three defensive stars who moved on to the NFL.

Shockley, meanwhile, took over as the No. 1 quarterback after backing up David Greene the last three years. He had big shoes to fill—Greene, after all, was the winningest quarterback in Division I-A history.

After one week, it’s already “David who?”

The Bulldogs didn’t miss a beat with Shockley, who tied Greene’s school record for touchdown passes in a game—in less than three quarters—and showed an ability to run that his predecessor lacked.

Shockley completed 16 of 24 passes for 289 yards—numbers that would have been even better without four dropped throws. He also rushed five times for a team-leading 85 yards, even though a 23-yarder was brought back because of an illegal block.

Contrast those numbers with the ones put up by Zabransky: four interceptions and two fumbles before he was benched just before halftime. Mentioned as a possible Heisman contender, his candidacy crumbled less than 30 minutes into the season.

As Boise State coach Dan Hawkins ran off the field at halftime, he was asked by a television reporter why he took out Zabransky. “Did you watch the first half?” Hawkins replied, managing a bit of a smile.

Shockley had a 40-yard touchdown pass to Kenneth Harris, a 20-yarder to Danny Ware and a 56-yarder to Martrez Milner before hooking up with Sean Bailey on two straight scores covering 31 and 5 yards.

Shockley also ran 14 yards for Georgia’s first touchdown—and he proved to be a pretty good prognosticator, too.

Earlier in the week, he predicted the Broncos would struggle against Georgia’s defense, even though they averaged nearly 49 points a game last season.

So much for Boise State’s hopes of being this year’s Utah—a BCS-buster that earns a spot in one of the major bowls. The Broncos had lost only three times in their previous 42 games and were ranked coming into a season for the first time since moving up to I-A in 1996.

That will be a one-week stay.

Georgia had only five interceptions all of last season, prompting new defensive coordinator Willie Martinez to put special emphasis on getting more turnovers through the air.

His guys must have been listening—linebacker Tony Taylor picked off Zabransky’s first pass, and Dannell Ellerbe, Tra Battle and Greg Blue also had interceptions in the opening half.

In addition, Zabransky fumbled at the end of a run in Georgia territory, costing the Broncos an early chance to get back in the game. He finished off a miserable day by mishandling a snap from the shotgun with less than a minute to go in the half.

Georgia recovered, and Shockley threw the touchdown pass to Ware on the very next play to give the Bulldogs a 24-0 lead heading to the locker room.

The fans at one end of Sanford Stadium chanted “D.J.! D.J.! D.J.!” At the other end, the Broncos were serenaded with “O-ver-rated!” as they trudged off the field.

Any thoughts of a comeback were quickly erased. Georgia took the second-half kickoff and needed less than two minutes to make it 31-0. Milner hauled in a Shockley pass around midfield, broke one tackle and went the rest of the way untouched.

The Bulldogs led 38-0 before Boise State finally scored."

So much for Bozie who!
