well...i think they should be there, only because they won out. as far as Alabama not playing anyone close to Nebraska....now you are stretching things to comical limits. I can't even think of one SEC team, that would get embarassed in a game with Nebraska. sure they may GET BEAT, but it won't be bad. The entire world knows that the SEC is where the big boys play, and the rest wish they could measure up. some do...MOST DO NOT. they will play, and yes they will pay TEXAS the show up money. this game will be over by halftime, unless Sabain decides to call off the dogs early in quarter 2..ALA 35 TEXAS- 10

S.E.C. [ 3-3 ] WOW! DEFENCE
Kentucky 13 vs. Clemson 21 [ L ]
Texas A&M 20 vs. Georgia 44 [ W ]
Virginia Tech 37 vs. Tennessee 14 [ L ]
Northwestern 35 vs. Auburn 38 [ W ]
Penn State 19 vs. LSU 17 [ L ]
Florida 51 Cincinnati 24 [ W ]

S.E.C. DEFENCE WOW!
Allen, I notice youre from Texas. Of course you are telling yourself they have a chance but an Auburn team is much different then a Texas team, Defensivley that is. I personally don't care for either team but I have watched both teams several times. Texas had one of the weakest schedules in the country and in the last 2 weeks of the regular season they proved just what they lack. Sure they won but it was sad. Not one thing about Texas stands out other then their 1 qb and 1 reciever. Alabama can pass and run. You can't ignore stats but you have to look at who they beat to recieve those stats.

HERE IS SOME OF THOSE STAT'S
Total Yds Pass Yds Rush Yds First Downs Northwestern 625 532 93 33
Auburn 425 235 190 18

Penn State 340 216 124 21
LSU 243 202 41 9

Virginia Tech 438 209 229 19
Tennessee 240 235 5 14

ROLL TIDE!!

Alabama will win no doubt. Colt McCoy is not as strong of a QB as Tim Tebow was and Bama shut him down. They played their season to be able to shut down Tebow's offensive game and was successful at doing so. Im saying we win by two touchdowns.

TCU should be in this game plain and simple. Solid defense and solid offense.

TCU???? not sure about that one

Yep no doubt TCU let themselves and thousands of others down. Their defensae was terrific as usual but their offense let them down. Nerves showed early on in that game and cost them the game plain and simple. My hat is off to Boise State on a well played game.

Wells, TCU's opponents were 6 and 0 in Bowl Games this year most of which blew out their opponent and got blew out by TCU in the regular season. What about Texas???? 3 and 4 or 3 and 3 and of those 3 Big 12 teams that won a Bowl Game they came against 5 and 6 loss teams who were nothing shy of pathetic. If you can honestly sit there and say that Texas would beat TCU then youre ignorant plain and simple. It would be a low scoring game but TCU would win because they would put their best CB on Shipley and then game over just like Alabama will do along with sack MCcoy until his head spins. Boise State supprised me and alot of others, they proved they can and will beat anyone at any given time. That 4th down conversion was a joke in most coaches eyes but not Boises. He gambled and came out with a win just like a few years ago when they beat Oaklahoma. With the big stage comes big plays and Boise had 3 to TCU's 1.

no predictions here, just waiting for the game.

TCU proved last night that just because you are a good team, it doesnt mean you are going to play good that day.

this game can go either way. I guess i am ignorant for think this way.

but like always, Hook'em Horns!

I will completley agree that on any given day a good team can get beat by another good team but Alabama is just out of texas league.

Posted by Adams, Harold on 01-05-2010 06:24 PM:

Bama is a good team but and a very big but SEC is fake good this year as a whole.................the same defense that held Ingram to 30 gave up 600+ to Northwestern..... a big play understandable but 600+...... also SEC 5-4 n bowl games with Va.Tech and Penn State being best teams they played......now Bama hasn't folded this year like last so still give them the nod as McCoy don't have much help... Bama don't want Boise be same results as UTAH.. but without a playoff will never happen...
