Steve Roark you hit the nail on the head, how long will it take the Obama voters to admit they made a mistake. If they think it was bad under Bush just wait the worst is yet to come.

jess,
as always enjoy your views and respect them.... have many-many yrs. of real world experience in many different settings-situations, have taken a walk on both sides of the street, am white-but far from a liberal, anyone that may take a look at social situations from various settings is not a liberal-might just be the devil's advocate, am guilty of having read quite a few books, but from various perspectives-best way to expand one's understanding.... try to exercise more understanding, less being judgemental, course sometimes do fall short.... personally believe labels create an environment that works against solutions and understanding, do not believe that all of the correct answers live in one camp not all of the incorrect in another, some of both in both....

rrs

I mean no disrespect, I do think that you are a genuinely good guy. I also understand you that have no idea of how utterly predicable your answers are. They are line and verse exactly the same as every other liberal that I have ever known. I understand that you truly don't see this, Liberals never do.

It's part of thought process that allows you to be a Liberal in the first place. You can never accept the truth in these simple words because you filter them through the liberal thought process change their meaning and respond once again line and verse from the liberal hand book.

Good Lord. What in the heck is wrong with you people?

I get so sick of hearing a man got elected because he was colored. If 100% of the colored people voted for obama, it still would'nt be a drop in the bucket. This Country is 80% white, 13% colored. 'Welfare bred' people had nothing to do with it. If you want to blame somebody, then blame the lazy @$$ white people for not voting. Jezzzz.

RRS is probally the most intelligent poster when it comes to 'real world'. You folks don't realize what idiots you sound like blaming one man thats been in office for a total of 7 months. RRS doesnt play the 'blame' game. That puts him at least 100 miles ahead of the rest.

Then you ignore the fact that 'big business' came to the gov. ASKING for bailout money, the gov didnt 'take over' anything. You side with big business when THEY came begging.

If thats not enough for you, then you blame obama for another mess gw bush started. You completley ignore the fact that bush set 'bailouts' into motion. What did you expect? The car comp was gonna be the only ones? Heck every big business there is said if you give it the auto makers we need it too.

I will give yall credit for one thing. We are fixing to go so far in debt, that this be the republic of china. It was nothing more than scare tatics the gov used against you that got us in this mess. You let folks like bush get into office and run buck wild, when they are no better than the rest. They are no different that the so called' religious leaders' in Jesus day. They sit high and mighty with their noses up, when reality is they are idiots.

Yall keep throwing up these famous quotes from the 'Founding Fathers' without realizing YOU ARE the SAME people they were talking about...

Now, I'm going to drink a Dr Pepper.

jess,
sure you are good guy as well... never knew there was a liberal handbook or may actually read it-lo... not big on labels, but if using such for myself am a libertarian on issues of personal behavior that do not cause harm to others... on social issues am a populist in that believe that some things individuals are unable to do going it totally alone although in a perfect world that might be the best way thus require that forces beyond the individual are necessary to best serve the needs of society.... politically am a registered republican, have been for many yrs., but never vote a party line and always look at issues and candidates... again like the role of devil's advocate which promotes discourse-learning, now if that makes me predictable and in your eyes a liberal so be it, have been called many worse things-lo, by the way have drank my share as well as that of several others of sipping whiskey, no longer invibe much these days... always hope-pray for the very best in this great nation for all of the people and those elected to lead, may not always agree with those in charge, but hope for success in moving the nation forward...

The massive housing loan crisis was a Democrat program. I cam vividly remember Bush and the Rep's warning of the impending mess and the Democrats covered for it, blocked any attempts at an investigation, and claimed all was fine and dandy.

The gas price mess last year was met with a unresponsive, Democrat controlled Senate. While gas prices were skyrocketing, the Democrats were trying to pass HIGHER taxes on it and blocking any attempt to resolve it.

do you forget that YOUR Democrats were campaigning on a platform of slowing down the economy?? Obama and the Clinton's all said the economy of the United States was going to have to be slowed down.

The sad truth is Obama has QUADRUPLED our national debt and has spent more than every other President combined in less than 100 days. He has placed our grandchildren that aren't even born yet in debt and keeps adding to that amount by the billions daily.

All you have to do is read Obama's beliefs on economics. He doesn't want this country to prosper. He wants the successful to suffer and everyone be equally miserable.

It is time to be a man and admit you are wrong Knox. Sticking you fingers in your ears and saying LALALALALALALA isnt helping anything.

Now read both those responses. Tell me who's the idiot? One is filled with half truths, the other seems sincere, to me at least...

Time to get out of the stupor Knox. it already has, to the tune of several trillion that your great grand children are going to be held responsible for. Rights being taken away weekly, CZARS circumventing the Senate and House who are supposed to listen to the will of the people, not Obama and his Czars. Keep walking blind and trodding on our Constitution. Keep towing the liberal party platform Knox. Be a good little rat and follow the pied piper.

You only need to look in the mirror Wingman to see the idiot.

Point out some of those "1/2 truths" while your at it.

One of those posts told the truth and the other was ambiguous enough that it didnt rile your liberal feathers.

Steve
You have to keep in mind that many of those younger voters grew up in a time of peace. They never had to accept the fact that Hitler's Germany almost won WW II. They never saw the millions of dead caused by the governments of secular societies.

They never grew up with the Soviet Empire enslaving millions with the false promises of Communism. They can't remember the millions killed by Godless, Ruthless Dictators across the world. They don't remember that freedom has never been free.

They grew up in a era of politics that are more of a man on man popularity contest than a contest of ideas. They have grown up in a time when all forms of government are considered equally legitimate.

No one has credibly spoken to them of a existing evil empire. In their life that battle had already be won, shame that they never hear the story. Our public schools no longer teach history from a perspective of right or wrong, good or evil.

Those young voters have never looked at the world that was. Many parents wanted to forget those dangerous and sad days themselves, they wanted their children only know of a better world.

These young voters voted for the promise of a better future, never asking how or why the future would be better. To them that was the politics of old, You know ideas and such. I think there are many lessons that they will learn in the years to come. I wish they would have been able to learn from the price that has already been paid and not had to pay the price themselves.

Well Bush started it with the big bank bail-out and without the extra spending we would be in a depression right now. We are starting to see signs of recovery already. Do you read the news at all?

I voted for the first time last november. My prof's at school said obama was going to put in the perfect govt that had been tried in other countries but never allowed to be fulfilled and work because countries like ours ran by greedy free market people didnt want it to catch on. america created lies about htiler, stalin and other presidents top get the american people behind their war to stifle a better way of goverment. The goverment needs to take over the big business places and make them pay people more and make their goods and service cheaper. obama is going to make it work here.we jsut have to get behind him and not tear him down. yes we can.

Actually, the idea of a bailout come from the Senate.Bush cannot pass or even vote on it. But I did disagree with him supporting it,although I feel his "support" for it was more of a political move to not make McCain look bad for being against a "crisis" created by their across the aisle felons.
Pretty ingenious of the DEM's to create this fiasco just before an election. Like they say, "never let a good crisis go to waste". Where were they several years ago when bush and the Rep's were trying to warn people of this?? Oh, In know, they were blocking any attempt at a open books investigation and claiming everything was okay at F-mae and F-Mac.

Obama and the democrats have openly stated they were going to slow our economy down. Why are we surprised it has?? This was their campaign slogan. Bill Clinton admitted it on national TV.

Recovery?? We are losing jobs everyday. Less than a tenth of the "stimulus" has been spent. Most of it is on Govt related interests and "jobs" that produce nothing.

Well, I don't know about idiots. Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld wanted the war in Iraq regardless of necessity and they got it. They never got bin Laden and Afghanistan is still a mess. They also wanted to reward their rich contributors who put them in office with that huge tax cuts most of which went to wealthy people and corporations and got them. They ignored the warnings before 911, they were wrong about the projected surplus, they passed a prescription drug bill that benefitted the drug and insurance companies more than the patients and otherwise ignored healthcare altogether while drug, insurance and big medicine continued to rape and pillage, and the whole six years that Bush had his republican congress they did nothing to prevent the real estate and banking bubble from bursting. Nothing.
