Travis Sawney,

Russ Jones will be having a litter out of Ellie Mae and Light'in the first part of January. His phone number is 309-333-3773. Ellie Mae qualified for the UKC World Championship in 2008. A son also qualified and finished 17th in the World Hunt. The first litter out of Ellie and Light'in started real early, 5 months and three days old, when the first pup treed it's own coon and had the coon. Others in the litter were running and treeing at 6 months old. These pups will get the job done if given an honest chance in the woods. I will be getting 1 or 2 of these pups. Russ is a fine feller and you can believe what he tells you. Good luck Travis.

Travis, I dont think I can tell you anymore than Ed just told you Ellie is putting pups on the ground that will do it from start to finish, & hes a (((REAL NICE GUY )))!!! thanks for your help Ed !!! & Travis I sure would check out one of these two GR.NTs. that Russ has bred rite now ((BOTH)) are coondogs as well as Big Game Hounds. We will be keeping a pup off each female to carry on with what we have now.

I got that bear fever once and never did get rid of it. It flares up from time to time and I've just learned to live with it after all these years. Guess ill just have to tough it out

I got a call today from a friend in Wy. Its was bad news. The guy we were going to go Bear hunting with back in July shot himself a few days ago down in Moab,Utah I just cant hardly see this happening he was a GREAT HOUND MAN !!! Big game he was tuff on them.

He lived down by where the Lee Brothers lived in Az. There ol cabin was rite down the road from his house.

Was hoping to go back out & go Lion hunting someday again with him but dont look like it will happen now, Sorry to hear about this !!!

Tha last time I talked with him he was telling me the hill sides were tied full of the dogs I had taken out there 30 years ago they just keep rite on breeding them, he said I took a good stock of tree dogs into that country. They made Coondogs & Big Game Hounds.((English Dogs)) they were.

Russ ask if I would like to go out sometime & go Mt. Lion Hunting again in Utah would love it. This is a dream Ive had for sometime to go back & go hunting Lions again, hope I can pull it off in the near future its a BLAST.

Give me a call today when you get up I'll be around here for awhile.

i sure wish i had the room and time i'd take one of those pups.
people better jump on these pups quick, its hard to find a red dog with as much ability as light'n has.
i'd never seen a red dog tree a coon by himself until i went hunting with light'n. and he has the total package, looks, mouth, conformation., ability!!

Hey Eddie,

we are now on satellite now. No more waiting for things to come up. We hunted Billy Sunday nite. He struck, ran and treed hard. Every thing went well until I got ready to shoot the coon out. Blast that flaterrap, we went and forget the shells for the rifle. Yeah, we carried the rifle all the way to the tree. Oh well, we'll tree him another nite. Talk at ya later.

Bill Toops speaks very highly of Billy Bob Im sure he is a nice dog & Im sure Y'all will tree lots of coons with him, they say he has a ((OUTSTANDING MOUTH)) on him I would like to go hunting sometime with him.

I've been doing it for years now, can't seem to learn from past experience. Of course it would help if I had something to work with. I've never been known to be a bright guy. Sometimes it's hard for me to chew gum and walk at the same time, so, I gave up chewing gum.

Maybe one of these days we can get together and take a hunt. Something to look forward to.

((A HUNT)) that sounds good I've heard Russ & Bill talk about us getting together sometime for a hunt & deep holler man would like this also.((SOUNDS GREAT)). Would be glad to have Y'all over here.

I rode with Charles Guffey the other night he took the young dog off Light'in & Queen I thought he looked real good, hes going to make a dandy Charlie really likes him it would take a bunch of $$$$$ to own him glad he likes him Charlie & I have hunted together for around 44 years on & off we have had some real good times over the years.

((Charlie Called today)) telling me his sons house burned down lastnight almost burning his Grandchild up inside the house they were real lucky to get out soon as they went out the front door the roof fell in a total lose. This is the same son that is here after having a stroke back in March, he will need someone with him the rest of his life hes just 42years old now.
