Competition dogs are coondogs and coondogs are competition dogs. If you enter a hunt and lose, it's because you didn't contact the "big 3" first and you don't really have a true coondog. Because coondog's win and winning is coondogs. The state of Indiana owns the coondogs. If you want a coondog you must go to Indiana and submit your request to the "big 3". The big 3 are from Indiana and remember what i said before. They are for coondogs, about coondogs, by coondogs and they own all the coondogs. If you tree a coon with a dog it means nothing unless you got your dog from Indiana and it was approved through the "big 3". All transactions must be approved by them first or it is null and void. If your from somewhere besides Indiana and you tree a coon your just decieving yourself. You didn't really tree a coon. You just thought you did. That is, unless the dog on your lead came from one of the big 3 or was an approved transaction of the big 3. Once they say a dog is a coondog, then and only then is it a coondog. Not before. Now, it's nearly noon in the day and time for all us peasants to kneel and face northward toward Indiana and pray............

Jason,

Have you started your new years eve celebration a little early? Next time you walk past the medicine cabinet....open it up, and get back on your meds!

Seems that either your early celebration, or your unwillingness to actually READ what I post on here...making assumptions... If you go back and read, I said that there are good dogs everywhere...if you look for them.

Funny thing is...I already know Buck Brush, and we've hunted together. I bought a young female off him, and she got her UKC first on Saturday night at Walker days this past spring....High scoring opposite sex...Now I don't know if he thinks that what I follow every night is a "top dog" or not....and it would not change my interpretation of what a top dog is.

If you are trying to be a jerk...okay, so be it...have a good time. Please don't do what I've asked you not to do so many times...assume....that you know anything about me, elvis or JiM. I seem to remember that it was not all that long ago that I offered to pay your gas money up here, feed and house you, and pay your gas money back home....but you declined the offer..... I did that because I wanted you to see that there is more to treeing coon than can be found on the side of a hlll in North Georgia!

Have a happy New Year~!

Hi Joe, This is Mike Van Dusen, I am the man that sold you Millcreek Haley.I owned her and her littermate brother Butch.Butch is still at my house and I enjoy hunting him and he will eat my feed until he dies or some rich man gets foolish!
Buck Brush never owned Haley,I bought her from Pat Redmond,Pat started her and he bought her as a weanling pup from Carlton Mitchel.

Buck Brush is the username of my very good friend and hunting partner Skip Hartline.Skip is a good guy and no "beginner" to coon hunting. If you have any questions about this you can call Mike Van Dusen 219-326-7907 anytime or Skip Hartline 219-898-5725.

Mike,

I thought you were "Buck Brush"....based on the 219 area code, and another post on here that said he had a nephew of Dolly in his "back yard".....

I stand correctred

If that cross and those transactions were approved by the Indiana big 3 then you may have something there. Course, for those dogs or there offspring to really have any competition then you'll need to take them back home to Indiana where they come from. These southern dogs just aren't in the same class as that caliber of dog you have there. If a 7 month old puppy can tree a coon in Indiana and it's notorized and approved by the Indiana big 3 then that same puppy at 7 months old can come to Georgia and put any dog down here to shame. Look at it like this, those coondogs up there can tree a coon every 5 minutes for a solid 2 or 3 hours. These so called dogs down here can't come close to that.

I would reply to you directly Mr. Oakie the Great but I know that is against the by-laws and constitutions. I will merely bow my lowly non-coondog knowing head and submit a request through the proper channels requesting permission to converse with you at a later point in time on this thread here. I can only hope to one day have a fraction of your omnipotent coondog knowledge.

Silence

Funny how quiet it gets when the fact is brought out that an all expenxe paid trip was offered but never accepted. If my feeble mind recalls correctly, the sheeps long lost father jim/john vaught was offered the exact same thing to see Jet 8 & one of the B&D dogs hunt together. Jim/John had been stirring the pot about those two hounds, but when the bluff was called, it got real quiet! LOL I do think that some prefer to to keep the old cyber hunter $hit pot stirred and bubbling rather than remove the rose colored glasses, emerge from the glass house and actually go to a real woods and hunt. In the meantime, I am going to continue my search for one of those year round 95% accurate coon treeing machines! LMAO!

Indiana is off limits. 99% of all real coonhunters are originally from there. However, that 1% that are allowed to migrate there are only allowed to do so if given an official invitation. And even then it's not recommened. They'll go back home and realize that the only coondog they ever saw or ever will see was in a far off state. I say, why put myself through all that depression.

Great pic Mike and Skip. My gawd what a treedog he was.
At one time there were quite a few of those blackheaded Alibi pups around and not too long ago i saw him in the 3rd generation on a set of papers but absolutely cant remember what dog it was.
Anyhow, thanks for that blast from the past.

Ps. I believe the last dog Arden Brown owned before his death was a dog called Ranger that Im thinking was one of the last out of Alibi and ranks up there with the loudest ive ever heard.
