Let them fail. If they cant produce a product that is competitive this bail out will only postpone the inevitable. Lets face the facts most of the people working in the assembly plants are worth about 10 bucks an hour. They have no education, no skills, dont own a tool and in most cases without that job about all most of them are qualified to do is flip burgers. I live about 20 miles from a GM plant and have seen for years husband and wife working there bringing home 150k combined and they live large. I cant imagine what kind of twisted logic it takes to tax the average guy making 30k a year so these people can stay on the gravy train. As far as all the jobs that would be lost,it wont happen. every one that drives a car now will still be driving one next year maybe not one of the big three but someone is gonna pick up the slack.

It takes one man 90 years to make what wagnor made in one. The union isn't the problem. The problem looks pretty simple to me...

What I'm pointing out is that is isn't the 14 million a year the CEO makes that puts the company in the red.

If the average joe can get a job for $77 an hour then i say more power to them. So many people are underpaid...the job I did would pay 2x as much anywhere but here. To think there isn't some level of skill required isnt thinking logically. All union work is inspected by company quality. Why should the company reap all the profits off something that is going to sell for $20,000 or more?

I have owned 3 rangers in a row each had over 200,000 miles on them when i got rid of them and none of them gave any trouble besides general repair you will do to other vehicles.

The reason the auto makers are in trouble is because of what gas did they couldnt sell silverados, f150s, and rams. That was a HUGE loss financially. Sales on these might go up when the people are confident the gas wont shoot right back up but, they are gun shy on it as was I so I bought a tacoma and said heck with it...at least if gas goes back up I am not stuck with a v8. I did want an f150 though for the comfort.
