Well we ended up with 1/10". Its nice and cool out and we are gettin' a misty rain now.

6 tenths here .looks like maybe a little more on the way this morning..

We got a drizzle overnight. That is it. 71 degrees right now and maybe thunderstorms this afternoon. Sure hope so.

got a decent shower last night.and its raining here now ,getting a nice slow shower for the last 30.min.s.. got another tenth..the boy text me said he had over an inch last night..not far from Lake Of The Sewer Lines...

Just got home from the DuQuoin State Fair. Went and seen the wolves. They were beautiful. Timber Wolves. Had a alpha male, alpha female and two juniors one male and one female. Never been that close to a wolf before. We took pictures we will post later. It is absolutely nice outside. North wind and cool.

cut loose at 7:50,,,struck in at 8:05..ran a track down a dry creek bed for several hundred yards ,then up a side holler and treed.had the meat...cut loose at 8:40 struck in at 8:55 ran this track through a bean field into a corn field ,pushed him out the corn and into a fence row..treed 9:20..two small coons no more than 20 feet off the ground sitting in the first fork ...should have quit and came home then..cut loose at 9:45..struck in at 10:00,went to the mouth of kickapoo creek..went west across the bottom ,over that mountain on the westside crossed the road at the cellar and treed in that guys yard..10 feet from his house..he wasn't happy that my hound was rattling his windows when I got there..10:50 got done with my azz eating .didn't shine the last tree just want my dog and to get the hell away from the guy standing in his bathrobe telling me to get the hell out of there...good hunt all in all..

seemed like a nice guy when he got settled down..he wasn't when I first got there..I think my old dog scared him a little..my old dog is a wet mouthed tree dog..when I got there he was standing on his deck with a flashlight..my old dawg was treed hard and thought he had the coon..he was jumping 6 feet off the ground..slobbers where slung up on the side of the house and dripping from the low hanging limbs..the dog looked like he was lathered up ready for a shave..I think he thought the dog was rabid..

man i slept in big time this morning ,,up late watching a football game that ended with almost a whole quarter to play ..

Rex that guy must be from the CITY. They don't know anything but they want to come and live with wilderness people. They don't know the first thing about the wild. They should have a law that says you have to go to school before you go and live in the woods or with people that live off the land.

Mike I was off and runnin' this mornin' just checkin' in. If a feller didn't know better from Spotty's accurate hunt report, you would have thought he was in somebody's " HONEY HOLE " I guess that was better than treein' some grandma's puddycat on the screen door on the front porch---hu Spotty?

You are right TD. Just can't figure out that those dogs aren't going to harm them if they are jumping up and down on a tree. I thought you might have been squirrel hunting this morning. I sent you a PM.

ya the night I treed on the Sargent sisters screen door was fiasco..I didn't think I would ever get them two old ladies to stop crying...I felt about one inch tall that night...couldn't resist going on a little root hunt today......34 oz....
