Tim, she is not like her brother "The Dude". He has a really good mouth. Got entered in his first hunt in western Iowa a week or two back but they had one of them fubared hunts.

When he loads up his locate makes me grin extensively!

I'll keep her in mind. Thats quite a pedigree.

Witnessed it yesterday, I took a video with my phone, but can only seem to email it vs text it around. Sound quality doesn't do him the greatest justice, but I couldn't get any closer or else my phone and ears would've probably exploded!!!

I don't have much time or money to take a lot of kids hunting.
But, I bet I am one of the few highschool math teachers with CB's and BBOA's laying on their desk.

In fact I have the 1989 May issue on top of the stack right now. Along with your post that I printed off about you having the $25,000 cash in hand. The kids really like your "stylish do" on the cover of CB.

Doing what I can....

Kevin

Kevin, anything is better than nothin & unfortunately there is like always to many that do nothing. I'm really takin back by the lack of enthusiasm as a whole & kinda a shame of it. Thats just my take of course.

Honored to hear you using my babblin's in your classes! The magazine,if'n it don't scare'um is a classic...LOL!! No chance of gettin the big perm in the retake though. Half,OK maybe 3/4's of it is gone The beard has changed to many different colors & the wrens been stackin lil sticks in it. Still got the hat though!

Keep on doin it when you can. WE appreciate it!

LOL I never thought of the HISTORY end of it, but it is true.

I always try to work hunting, shooting(bows and guns), fishing, and farming into my math classes whenever I can. Keeps some of these country boys a little more interested in math.

My australian sheperd border collie cross I had when I was about 10 until I was 17 would tree coon, squirrel, point quail, and chase rabbits for me. Hands down the smartest mut I have ever seen. I swore he knew what we were hunting by how I was dressed and what gun I came out of the house with.

My high school math teacher heard that I was treeing a lot of coon with a mut so he started polluting my education with American cooner mags.

When I turned 18 I drove a $200 toyota corolla down to Antlers OK and picked up an 8 week old pup out of Grover II x Sugar. Ten months later he started running and treeing. He had the ability to grand out but he ran the tree worse than any hound I have ever seen. Had this pup been a dud I probably wouldn't be on here right now, but as fate would have it, he was pretty awesome. Never hunted him with any other dogs to start him. He just did what I thought all coonhound pups did.

Well anyway, I figure I will try to do my part to corrupt the youth of America while I have the chance.

Carrying on the tradition, Kevin

Can't beleive you had'ta pay $200 for it! I bought mine, a Plymouth Scamp for $160 at an NFO auction. Dang giant red Doberman threw the killing shot to'er! Did a lot of huntin outa that calf scour colored thing. Then I graduated to a '63 Chevy station wagon. Which I wished I woulda kept. Was in awsome shape. Called'er "Buela". Couldn't dent that thing unless you used a big hammer!

Was the same with my first dog. The guy I bought him from at 9 months came & took me huntin the night before coon season. His Reddawg named "Duke" treed a coon & mine didn't bark? Needless to say I was dissapointed He had me climb the tree & shake'um out which was my 1st. Got it down only to have it climb rite back up the tree & used me as part of the ladder from toe to head. Plum scared the #@!#%@! outa me! Shook'um back out & this time it headed for the hills. "Duke" was tied & "Blue" was held a minute then cut loose. Ran it like a half mile & treed it like their supose'ta. Feller I was with was freakin out over how good he did as I was thinkin,"It is a coonhound whats the big deal"?

Got 40 odd coon with just " 'Ol Blue" that fall but then I traded a real nice pair of coon to a feller for a Black & Tan pup that I named "Pup" & an old timer freind of my grampa's gave me a very old hairless, starvin skinny female Bluetick but thats another story.

Still gettin acused of bein a dawg hoarder........

I am amzed by the memories that get jarred loose because of this hi-tech machine! Things I couldn't recall without a leadin. Might not be a big deal but for me it is without question! Somethin most take for granted & misplaced by me. A trigger word, experience, a tail? Amazes me how it can be brought back to the bank yet there's things folks have tried to get me to rememember that I just can't get a withdrawl of?

All the hunts I've listened to from the truck I couldn't tell ya what happened in 90% of them,Win or lose.

Just the way its gona stay I reckon.........
