Ol Boone got to go hunting again last night. I didn’t get started till 10:45, but the old man made it look easy. He treed the first in about 8 to 10 minutes at 500 yards. I recut him off the tree and he was treed again with another coon at .70 miles in less than 15 minutes. I guess he has been glad to be out . In the last two times I had him out he has went 5 for 5 and covering some ground. I was back home at 12:15.

I never got off the couch last night and "my" dog treed 2 coons. I love it. Who says coon hunting is tuff.

Oh my goodness, Old Man Boone sure is potent still. He live bred Rhonda 2 months ago and she had 15 pups this morning.

It looks like Rhonda is going to raise 10 pups so that will give Boone his magical 100 offspring. He should be on the Top Reproducers List as soon as I register these pups.

Boone bred another nice NtCh female yesterday. This cross should be some of best winning bloodlines out there.

Shock X Fancy was a great cross. Moose X Deanna was a great cross. So the Moose X Fancy cross was a no brainer. And just look at the linebred crosses that will be possible for the future.

Oh my goodness, I just got a new set of papers back today. Boone finally got his 100 pups and he has 1 Gr Nt and 5 Nt Ch's. That should be good enough to put him at #3 on the Top Reproducers List.

Boone was pretty expressive this weekend for being 8 years old. He may have slowed down some but his heart is still in the game. He did well in the field trial and water race. Then in the night hunt Garrett treed him at 1.12 miles with 2 minutes to go in the hunt. It was sure nice to hear him ringing thru the woods and fields from that far.

1.12 miles and you say he is slowing down??? That is why Garrett is hunting him and not me. It takes a 10 yr old boy to keep up with him. A 70 yr old man can't do it.

Boone is 8 years old and still kicking. He and Garrett won 3 out of the 5 cast they competed in this week. Great job!!

One of Boone's offspring was Overall High scoring dog and First Place in the RQE at National Redbone Days this weekend.

Well done on all the wins!! One year in the early 90's I had a dog that won his cast 3 nights and 2 other dogs did the same; Unfortunately we did not have enough to win the overall but it was still a great accomplishment!! You and your hounds did a great job, Congrats!!!
