Great people

I just raised a litter of pups off of Riptide. Mark and Corey are great people to deal with and extremely helpful with anything you need. If anyone is looking for a male to breed to get ahold of them. Riptide sure threw some nice looking dark pups and they all act good for their age.

Thanks Matt! We won't get rich over pups and on my end, done for a good while raising pups. The young hound we call Doc is doing pretty darn good and going to give him a try at the Reuion in Tenn. in the upcoming months. Doc started quick and split tree his first time around 6 1/2 months old from Riptide with a coon and is real accurate. He has never ran any junk period, not many can say that about a young hound! He can be a little stubborn at times but you can always get that out of them latter on, he is right at 15 months old. Doc has a good loud mouth and is a pretty steady tree dog with a good locate, he will stayed treed with no chewing or jacking the tree, straight up and down! We have another pup out of Mad Dog Robin and Riptide that is right at 8 months old being hunted now, time will tell on him. The pups out of Bella should be a very good cross, cant wait! Good looking little buggers as well!

I took Doc tonight and something that has never happened to me in 50 years of coon hunting did tonight. I turned Doc loose in a place I would call very safe and would have never thought what happened would have taken place. Doc took off down along a corn field and ditch and got in there around 850 yards and I lost him. I headed back to the truck to drive to the last area I had him on the tracker. Drove around just too find him and his collar splattered right by a bridge on a old county road that does not even have a house on it and you hardly ever see a vehicle on this gravel road. Doc was just 16 months old and was doing pretty darn good for a young dog and had very high hopes for him, Doc split treed from Riptide at 6 1/2 months old and had his first coon. The kicker is living in town you can not have very many hounds so loosing one like this stings a whole lot! We do have a few pups but then again we are taking another year plus and these old bones were hoping Doc was Riptides replacement as Riptide is 6 years old now.

Thanks John! Seems like a worthless hound can live for every and has 9 lives but a good one gets all the bad luck. It set us back but we will try to move on with the next project / projects! LOL!

Took Riptide tonight and turned loose twice, seen one and other one on the other side of Anderson river. Called the old man to me and called it a night. Having one that will handle is worth its weight in gold to me at my age. Hope to have another young one out of Riptide ready to tag along some this winter and hunt by himself some.

Man tonight is not one of our stellar nights. Two old bad tracks, one den and one coon in a acorn tree. Not much of a track for the young ones as the old man had issues himself. Riptide is a little over weight and out of shape so will try to get him in a little better shape, kind a feel guilty!

Went hunting last night and had a good hunt. Seems everything was moving last night, we seen fox, heard tons of yotes, grinners, seen coons crossing roads, ton of deer and a few real nice bucks. Riptide made three trees and seen two coons and one den. Treed one in a cider tree and when Corey was shaking the big vine going into the cider and the coon bailed and off to the race he went, ended up in a ditch bank with massive rock edges and holes, good while it lasted.

Yes (2) litters but none for sale at this time. May have one out of a real nice bitch that is not titled but is a very loud hard treeing bitch that that has very good breeding in her background. They are registered in UKC / performance, PKC super staked and CHKC super sired and around three months old, one male and one female. Here is their pedigree, I'm keeping one of the two.

Sat. night a couple young men wanted us to head south too Blue Grass Country and go coon hunting with them, all we took was Riptide. All they boys had was a couple pups and they were wanting to get them a little training. They had some very good hunting to where even old farts like me could walk to the hounds. All together we made (6) trees and seen coons on (5) out of (6) and one could not shine very good, may have had it and may not of but it was a big old Oak.I think the Pups got all they wanted!!!

Here is what I'm looking for again, a 4 to 5 month old pups that will run and tree and like doing it. Doc was jsut a little of 4 months old in this picture. Sure miss hearing him knock it down and know he will be hard too replace. Have a few young ones and hope to get another one! I have been lucky enough to have a few but it has been a very few!

I have loaded a short clip of two male pups out of Riptide and Bella, right at 4 months old now and got a taste of their first live action. Love to see them tree minded at a early age. One catching on a little quicker but then for the first taste not bad!

Just got home with a new, older addition after about 10 hours in a dog box. We now own GRNITECH 'PR' Prairie Creek Blue Misfire. Rumor has it she is still a pretty tough old Bird! She is a little over weight and just came off pups but nothing that the pups and Riptide can't take off of her this winter. We do have some very special plans for her next spring if things pan out.

Nick I feel they will at least get a chance as a few of they guys that have them hunt both UKC nd PKC and are hard hunters. If they do not make it wont be due to not getting hunted. I kept a male myself, nice looking pup with a very good mouth on him. He is not a pen barking idiot as I call them! I believe Matt kept two for himself.

Well one more week and we can hit it plus the time rolls back so getting out will much easier. When you get up at 3 to 4 in the morning getting dark earlier is great! Have one that has only been out a couple time but at his age is should not take long to make the cut or move on to the next project . Have one about 4 months old we still plan on hunting yet this winter and at least get him started for up coming spring! We did pick up an older bitch, I still feel a pup does better at young age with a female. The boy hit me up on a few hounds that were for sale to hit the hunts with and make a few bucks on but it is tough to get one to hunt and you know the leafs are coming off and walking to empty tree is not and options and not looking to train a 2 or 3 year old. I do believe the older I get the higher my standards get, tell the truth guys I'm sure some you feel the same way!

Headed across the Ohio River to Kentucky late last night and got too hunt with a few good old boys. First dump Riptide and Fire split treed right at the end of the mile section about 400 yards apart and both had one. Next dump they hit right at 875 yards and drove one under a root wade along the Ohio river. Third dump Fire treed about 250 yards and had one on a old snag right on the river bank, Riptide cut hard going down the river and treed about 350 yards and had a big old den, Called it a night. Not bad hunting over there and is close to home. Good fill in until our season come in and we can get the young ones outs and spend time with them.

Took Riptide and Misfire tonight to run some wildness out of both of them. Made split both had one and had a hell of a corn field chase and they both did a nice job for two old fat hounds. Second dump had to catch them prior to hitting the deep water. Third dump they hit around 550 and drove one another 300 yards and they finally treed together, had one and rolled this out as it has been a good while for both. Starting next hunt we will be taking the pups!
