Well Richard I am team player tar !! Y'all said cut back the hunts there are to many I got three this year , I will be the moh for those three then that's it for me there will be no club next year. We been talking about changes way before last vote three years ago what's it accomplished nothin and by the silent treatment it's not going to because they are making money if we want it fine if we don't fine. You like their format and rules fine I got a $$$$ kc right here that has at least 4 hunts week right here by me 1 hr pay me when I win and the boss if something ain't working will take a vote and change it that freaking week not put you off give you the silent treatment for three years I would hate to think if I owned a business I would have to wait 3 yrs for a bunch of old men to vote on how to run my business for me to me that's just an excuse !! We told them what's wrong they don't care it's about $$$$ in the bank I don't feel sorry for no buissnes that don't listen to their custemers when they tank.
Now I don't want to talk about it no more lets talk about possums or honey buns or lipper or something we can enjoy.

Increasing Hunt Attendance
By reading some of these Post, you can see why the Hunt numbers are down. No sportsmanship.

There is a story page 42 in the march 2018 Outdoorlife Magazine titled The Boomer Bomb. Kinda of an interesting story. It shows why we will never return to the "good ol days". Doesn't matter cooners, birdhunters or deerhunters.
Oh my goodness, it is the government's and game warden's fault for not recruiting more young hunters. Without us hunters, they will be out of a job in 10-20 yrs. The tree huggers will take over then.
.
What is wrong with understanding change happens and learning to accept it and work with it. I am just like most of you and really don't like change. But I understand it is happening everyday. When change comes you have two choices. Pack up and go home or accept it and work towards making the change benefit what your doing.
The way it was did work. Most of us had fun doing it the old way. But old ways won't work in todays world. Thats the message you need to have your brain receive.
Let me give anyone with some age on them say over 50 an example. Say you meet someone that is old enough to be able to share with you how things were before you were born. That means they are telling you how good it worked 60 or 70 years ago. Are you going to find any of that information useful to use in todays world and try to duplicate it for success. But that is what we as older people forget. I am one month shy of 69 and most of the young guys I deal with are 25 or less. About every time I try explaining something to them about how things were. I find myself talking about things 25 or 30 years ago which was like yesterday to me. But over a lifetime to them. Things have changed so much and so fast, no young person is gong to have the knowledge, respect or desire to have hunts like we use to have. They have minds to make things work in todays world with todays methods.
We joke about the Garmins. We say if you get one and you can't make it work. Give it to your Grandson for 10 minutes and he will show you how it works. It is no joke.
So either your Grandson is smarter that you are or he adapts quicker to things in todays world. So it stands to reason their hunting will not be like it was for us 30, 40 or 50 years ago. So why should we push sitting around a club house drinking coffee and talking dogs on the young hunters when most don't drink coffee and they don't talk dogs. They hunt dogs. The young ones I see sitting around a clubhouse today are playing cards. lol It is about show me the money. At the card table or in the woods. Not enough scent of money in UKC to keep them on track.

Well said Mr. Conkley. There's many factors that have brought on the decline in the hunts. We can all pitch in and try to help and UKC as a company can certainly do their part as well..

I don't think fewer hunts increases hunt number totals, same people are going to hunts, less if they have to drive further
.
UKC has their methods to run their business and keep the doors open with profits. I am sure their world has changed over the years. Each Club has to run their business and keep their doors open. It can be done but probably not like it was 20 or 30 years ago. The negativity many old and uninformed people hurt a lot more than it helps. If it can't be done with a profit the clubs will go away and then UKC will see and feel that. UKC being the driving factor will make changes and then the Clubs will come back if the changes are the right ones. Every business in American works that way. Walmart hurt the mom and pop stores. Amazon hurts the big box stores including Walmart. You see the profits go down. You change or quit.
I know with my little business that I push a few buttons at the end of the month and I see growth or decline. That gets broken down into categories to understand what is happening. Then change or money is spent to fix a problem once it is identified. I am sure UKC has a lot of charts and graphs showing just what is happening in a lot of areas of their business. We have to have faith that any declines will result in changes. If it is not declining in the actual records but just in opinions on here because it isn't like it use to be. Then it isn't a problem for UKC.
I personally never liked the change of the Winter Classic from Ga to MS. I can give you ten reasons why I don't like it. Then you look at the entries of the hunters and it seems to be better. Looks like a win/win for UKC and the Hunters. Examined from a business approach and not a personal one. It worked. We just have a hard time changing and letting go of personal baggage.

I can't believe that they don't change to suit me. I too hated the move from Albany to Batesville but apparantly it was in their best interest. As hunters we have to just try to make the best of it.
Wow Bruce where was you Before Tar got poofed!!
.
Didn't know he did. LOL I thought him telling UKC he was done with them yesterday might cause them to be done with him first.
