Missing the boat!

I am not a redbone man but the wife asked me to try to get a redbone that suited me because she thought they were pretty. So I sold a few very nice hounds and squirrel dogs to get started buying some redbones out of lines that I was told were the top of the line. After owning several gr nt ch’s and a few coon dogs over the years I have gotten hard to please but I believe if you redbone men want something to win with you better not miss the boat on this Pistol dog! We have two now out of the pistol dog that are not coon dogs yet but have us a little excited! Time will tell but several have come and gone in this redbone search and these two may get to stay a little while.

Richard, seems like all the ones that's been takin to the woods will tree a coon, some better then others I'm sure. Haven't had anybody say they had one that needed culled. There's a male down here that has a 1st & a female in Ms. that's got a 2nd. As far as I know that's the only 2 that's been in a hunt. Yes, Penny is a sister to Jim.

Yes sir, I've had several guys ask about breeding gyps up in that part of the country & had tried to get semen to Nevergone with no luck. Dr Mead was easy to work with & now there's some stored there in Indiana. So if ya got a good one ya wanna bred to Pistol, I've got ya covered now.

Richard, There's no way to compete in a national race from down here. We only have hunts 8 months outta the yr because of our long deer season. We've been lucky enough to get in the top 12 to get a Nationals Ticket. Did farely decent in the state race though.
