I hope that you called Jared to come pick you up. At least it is semi-flat up there. I went for a long stroll through some awfully big steep ridges last night.

Getting down to crunch time. The old man was nice last night. He treed a pair in less than 400 yards. Must have been because Parker was with me.

Jared, I know that I told you that a Jeep could go anywhere but only if you keep all 4 wheels on the ground. Four wheel drive does not work when 2 wheels are off of the ground.

I don't think there's a critter in these parts he would have trouble keeping up with. He did run some track and treed with his daddy Saturday, but was just waiting for the coon to fall out by the time we got there. Not getting in any hurry. Waiting til spring, you know.

But I am focusing on the old man right now. I think he's ready. Just missed a cast win Monday. Got beat on strike. only hunted an hour. He treed after the hunt was over with another coon a long way from the truck..

It takes him an hour to get warmed up. Y'all only have 3 more weeks to get ready. I mailed his Ez entry card to Jared yesterday along with Bell's.

So there is nothing quite like seeing 4 red dogs and a old washed up walker be turned loose across a open field to say we were off our rocker with only two guys and five dogs is an understatement but we managed to make a few dens, do some dog training, and find out that my old washed up dog completely lost his voice overnight to top it all off we seen what a stick can do to the floor board of a rusted out jeep lol

No, I guess we should have. I can get a picture of the hole, It poked a hole all the way through the carpet, its a good thing i had my homemade industrial style floor mats in there.

Matt and I didnt have a bad night. All the dogs where on the first den tree. Bell was on there for a little bit but left and started running another track and got treed about 150 yards away on a slick. She did good for being as young as she is. Crazy Bolt wasnt sure who do bark at or follow cause they all went different ways after the first tree. Brusier got treed about 650 yards from the first on a den and the Fancy was the total opposite direction about 900 yards away. She also had a den. Not much seemed to be stirring last night with the temperature drop and the little bit of snow falling.
