-- Who was the judge on cast 4 (http://forums.ukcdogs.com/showthread.php?threadid=928462802)

I will say one thing on behalf of the judge and I do not know who he is.

If I was being talked about this much I would sure tell my side of the story with all the bashing of my integrity.

Plus coon in den only he seen and two possum with coon trees

All i can say is if it walks like a duck and.looks like a duck its probably a duck. Ive hunted all my life and seen a coon and a possum in a tree together 1 time! I'm a walker man and congrats to the world champion, but right is right wrong is wrong. There is no way a coon and a possum were in the same tree twice in the same night. Anyone believing other wise is delusional. This message is approved by me Jake Jenkins

Three non hunting judges

Guys we had a $1000 added purse in a UKC nite hunt at our trade day when I was president at a club . To avoid any arguments what we done and I believe UKC could do the same is :

The final 4 of our two day hunt off we had a non hunting judge make all calls and if ? it then of course the we had two more non hunting judges there also . The 3 would vote on any of the questions that arises . BUT all trees were scored by the 3 non hunting judges with majority rules of the 3 .

what does you being a Walker man have to do with this all four dogs were under the opossum/coon.

For further reading and information. Hand pick judges are not all are indifferent to and impartial like they are supposed to be.
Some kind of way to get to the truth like lie detectors I think would go a long way in making some more honest.

Here are some cases that actually happened at qualifiers and zones with non-hunting judges / hunting judges That I am personally aware .

Qualifier:Non hunting judge which happened to know a guy on the cast hunting a dual gr walker. .First turn out.The gr.nt got treed alone.Went to score and it was under a possum in a rather small tree.Judge tries like heck to put a coon in the tree. Then he tries to explain he wants to give the guy a break. A Cast member puts up a fuss which puts them on the sour side of the "IMPARTIAL" judge. Before the night was over this supposedly impartial judge finally scratched this cast member for a bogus invented reason.

At a zone quarter final: 4 dog cast .2 Walkers ,one blue ,one English..The English dog was a pretty tough dog owned by a teenager that could not even drive. He qualified and paid for everything out of his after school job income. He paid his grandpap to haul him to this hunt.
Well the Blue dog and English dog were putting on a show .It was obvious one of these two were going to win this cast........NOT!! As the cast was arriving at a tree the Blue and English were stretched high just blowing the top out.The judge declared he was scratching them .Incredulous the guy looked at the judge. For what he begged? Seems they were treeing TOO hard.He claimed they were attempting to fight.Later this judge mentioned he couldn't let an off color dog beat Walker dogs that bad.

This actually happened in one of the final cast at the world.:
A guy hunting a blue dog actually drew a non hunting judge that owned and hunted bluedogs. This judge was advertising a well know blue dog and had a dog out of his kennel that was being hunted by another person.
There were two judges on this cast.Well the blue dog got split by itself. This judge went with the man to score his tree. This cast member found the coon and try as he might could not get this judge to see the coon.He requested they get the other judge and cast members to his tree so he might have better luck in them seeing it.The judge flat refused .If this coon had been scored this dog would have won the cast.
After the cast was over back at the club house he made the statement .If he had scored the coon this guys dog treed it would have beat his dog for high scoring bluetick. He couldn't let that happen in his own back yard .

Hey,I don't have the imagination to make this stuff up.These things actually happened.

Night shift. So you were on the cast? All I'm saying is no d@#& way there was a coon and a possum in 2 trees in the same night! I'm not a redbone man looking for an angle. Just stating my opinion. Were you the judge?

Who did the judge ride to the woods with? Lol

Didn't one of the cast members argue the situation? And was told "if he said anything else, he would be scratched?" Wasn't there, don't know, but did see where he had posted this

Nope I wasn't but I'm not going to bash a judge when I wasn't there and if I was there and never questioned it I'm not going to come back to the club and cry. I've lost most of the time I blame my bad handling sometimes it's the dog. But to not question and then cry is unexplainable

One of the possums wasn't in the same tree. But in a tree next to it about 30 feet from the tree. And may the second tree had both in the same tree.

Please explain to me how you question a non hunting judge on a judgement call.

I can put 500 ? Marks on that but it's not going to be overturned.

I cant say who was right or wrong or what was up the tree they saw because i was not there but if anyone thinks they will look into or change the standings as they are now have a better chance seeing bigfoot and a black panther setting in the tree with the opossum and coon.

You are right. The real story is there was not two trees with a coon and possum in them Friday night. But the other cast members wont belch that out too loud.

If it was true....The reason it was allowed was there was more than one dog on that tree. When they heard the judge say he saw a Coon they weren't gonna say a word just grab there dog and cut again. If it was one or two dogs the judge knew the crying would be too great. Than when all four were there and it happened again everyone kept there mouth shut. Now the other three that lost are running there yappers. If it happened to me I would have made national news for the terror that would have happened in that woods. Bottom line is all 4 went with the flow cause they were still in the hunt. Now they didn't when they are spillin the beans. I would have got my cell out and recorded the whole thing.

Because there is no friggin way that dog treed a coon and a possum in the same tree twice in the same night.

Amen,I've been at this since 26 years and have only seen this happen once. Twice in the same cast?? Some one needs to empty there pockets, and head to the latrine cause their eyes are definitely turNing brown!!!!!

Have a panel Richard If need be they can mark the tree and the panel can go back then sombody gets a vacation or it improves their eyesight lol!

PKC Rules just don't fit here, and really not there either. Marking a tree with a Garmin or whatever to go back to. The whole cast leaves the area for say 30 minute ride to headquarters, another 15 to assemble the "Panel", which isn't used at all in the UKC world, for good reason, and then another 30 to ride back. Add in some time to suit up etc.. and you have been out the area of "trama" for the coon or possum for around two hours. There is a 90% chance the game has come down and left this area for parts unknown. This is about as stupid a rule as one could ever have in my humble opinion. It proves absolutely nothing except that you have crooked hunters or judges on a cast. Barring any of them could lead to legal ramifications, in which they could really be guilty, but the method used proves nothing, and they win in litigation. Absolutley worthless way to try go about business in a coon cast. It is the way in PKC, so lets leave it there in their place to be. It doesn't fit in our world, and thankfully we have no provision in our rules to allow such a thing.

How in the hell.......

Do Possum dogs and ME TOO Possum dogs ever get that far in a WORLD hunt...2 YEARS in a row now?
The power of the Possum...lol

1 time in my life have I ever treed a Possum with {2} coon in grapes.
Coon were 'up' in grapes.Possum was 8ft up.Shot Possum out to see if she treed it.My hound seen it hit ground, went back to tree'n.
Knocked coon out,all was good.

Robert it is not actually the panel going back out for a look see it's the threat of it and you believing strong enough in your decision to let them knowing if they don't see it your way you are going to get a vacation. People are more apt to cheat when there are no consequences get barred get reinstated because of who you are how much $$$$ you create jmo.
