Hey Ron,
G-Man is going through puberty. haha
He has a good mouth on track from a hard chop/bawl to a hard loud dying locate on tree. He has one of the most impressive locates I've heard on a dog and his daddy JJ Jr. was the same way and had one of the loudest locates ever. He turns it over fast into a hard loud chop on tree and trees between 90 and 110 BPM. His voice carries good and he doesn't die down on the tree when treeing. He usually trees back from the tree but gets up on the tree occasionally. Here is a video of him from last week in Salem, IL area while at the PKC World Hunt. G-Man is the one with the heavier harder chop on tree.
What is most impressive about this dog to me is that he is only 2 years old and is hunting out like a 4-5 year old. In the PKC World Hunt we drew one of the top young dogs in the country owned by Stefen Lab. The dog's name is Trax and he won the Super Stakes hunt. We made 7 trees that night and G-Man was on 5 of them. He had 3 trees on his own and the last one made my head spin. With 12 minutes left in the hunt I cast him into Trax who was treed at about 1000 yards but not declared treed. Most dogs would honor that dog on the tree but G-Man hit a track at 300 yards and slammed a coon at around 550 yards with less than 2 min in the hunt. That's 550 yards in 10 minutes with the meat.
It was enough to impress Stefan Lab who's been wanting a pup out of him, and said man if you ever need a reference on that dog I'd be more than happy to give one. That is from one of the biggest winners in PKC.
He's going to be a big time winner and he's just getting started.
