Hickman you don't need to hunt in the "senior" cast, just because you can get a discount at Hardeez now it doesn't give you an excuse to take the easy way out!!

Tim

I've got a BETTER idea. Just bring 2 mules- 1 for me & 1 for you & we will still hunt on a senior cast, if you're hunting NTCH.!!! And I've even got the perfect place for us to hunt in- 3000 acres of big timber with horse riding trails throughout it. I'm also up for that 'senior discount' when we're done!!!

Is there anyone planning on having a youth there to hunt on Friday night? Madi is going to be really disappointed if there would be no one else to hunt with. Her folks are even bringing the camper up & making a weekend trip out of it for her. Take care, Ron.

please no 911 calls this weekend. Last time I rode a mule, the mule won. Broke my collar bone and put me in la la land for a few minutes.

Geezer Ron I'm down to one mule but she does ride double!

Chris that is no way to treat senior citizens! I may have to tell your mother! Kids these days. Maybe you can hunt in the youth cast!

Any winners?

Posted by Rolin Blues on 05-16-2015 05:03 PM:

Friday night

Congrats to Madi/Hunter on winning the 2 youth casts. Hunter had high score of both casts with 200+/200 circle with Scooter. Madi thinks she 'needs more dog power', so Augie is going to let her handle Sailor tonight to see if she can do better. A proud grandpa has to 'crow' a bit!!!!

Hunted 114 dogs last night which I believe is new high for event. Heard Brett Meyers' dogs won 4 casts, Bouska had a CW & a nice Blue female from around Wilton did an excellent job treeing 3 coon by herself- Diva may be her name. A Walker male named Smoke won my cast with 300+ on 2 coon, while Anne had a coon & a cirle tree, Spur had a coon & Duke had a coon. Can't get a big score when dogs are split all directions. Pics won't be till this afternoon, so may not post anything till then. Take care, Ron.

PS- Cub says it's the walker blood in Meyers' dogs that make them winners, BUT I tell him it's the BLUETICK blood that makes them good!!!!

Whatever happened to the "good old days" when they had a pretty young girl to take your picture?

Posted by rolingenglish on 05-17-2015 04:28 PM:

congrats in order

Congratulations to Brett and Brady Meyers on half breed Rush's big victory this weekend along with putting and second hound in the finals with CC.

Congratulations to all the Iowa hounds that notched Cws this weekend.

As always a well ran event

Congratulations, another great weekend!

Very cool thing the Sugar River Club did for Brad!

Congrats to Brady and Brett Meyer's and Rush winning this year's Overall Heartland Classic Hunt. Brett was also awarded this years "Sportsmen of the Year" with nice mural'd sawblade. Exceptionally run event from start to finish. When you can get 100+ dogs in the hunt 1 night and 30+ dogs in the show both days and a mind boggling 28 dogs in the field trial and 48 dogs in the water race and the awards/prizes better then ever, you know its a well oiled machine. Erika Froeming, you go above and beyond in your dedication with this event and it really shows your belief and passion in making this event something very special. (even though at times your ready to ring some of our knecks! ) Thanks for letting me a part of it. One last thank you to all of the sponsors who donated so much and the thoughtful people who donated a High Scoring Breed trophy. I can't wait until next year.
(yes I do have pictures coming everybody)

HUGE Thank You

For putting on another great hunt. Madi & hunter are still wound from having a great time & all the prizes given out. We took pics this morning & will get some posted later. Hunter is waiting to see his pic on the screen. Thanks to the Loeffleholtzs' for taking care of the youth casts. (I'm sure I probably butchered that name)

Pink 4-wheeler- I hope you made sure to get the color changed before he picks it up!!!! It did come back to IOWA, land of the Hawkeyes & 'clones, right.

Sportsman of the Year- Brett Meyers- WOOOOO, that must mean he is finally starting to mellow out with age!!! Congrats Brett/Brady on the win & the award. Take care, Ron.
