Boone and Woody

Both made it thru the first round. Cali and Flow came very close in their casts. Congratulations to all four dogs you sure made people notice the red dog in the casts.

Thats Great!!! 2 Redbones still in.

Ok I got a question maybe dumb question but Im new to nite hunts. It says round 1 and 2 thursday night and round 3 and 4 friday. What does each round consist of? I thought one round is they are singled out. Are the rest of the rounds casts? And what was round 2 I dont see results yet so assume they arent in yet.

Troy, round two last night consisted of all plus point cast winners going back out each dog by itself, the dog has 2 hours to score a coon. Round three is tonight, 24 dogs left so there will be 6 casts tonight for round three. Round 4 , I believe, will be a runoff to get the final cast down to 4 dogs which will then hunt on Saturday night. Hope that makes sense.

Troy, Round 1 winners went back out to see if they could tree a coon by themselves. That was Round 2. All 24 dogs that are left should draw out in 6 casts tonight for Round 3. The top 2 winners from Round 3 will get a bye and the 4 low scores will draw out in two 2 dog casts and go back out tonight for Round 4. With that said, UKC might decide to send several 3 dog casts out in the early round tonight in order to have more winners to send back out for the late round tonight. Whichever way they do it they will end up with 4 dogs to hunt in Round 5 tomorrow night. I hope that 2 of them are Redbones.

Richard

Unless they changed from other years, the top 3 scores early tonight get a bye. Other 3 dogs will hunt a late round to determine the final spot. Good luck to both Red finalists. 2 Blues & 2 Reds in finals would be great!!! Take care, Ron.

Boones cast had a 3 way split on the first drop. Two of them had coons and third was a circle. One dog/handler got scratched because the backup started pulling on/shaking vines. Then they dropped again and the other dogs drew some minus. They never treed another coon. It looks like Callie barely got beat and is the high scoring female for 3 years now.

Posted by Joel Corinth on 09-19-2014 07:02 PM:

2 red dogs are in Congrats.
Cali look like she just needed a little break 1 quicker strike or tree might have done it..

That was the problem. Brian tried to get a little quicker and treed her too soon and drew 125 minus. She still only lost by 25 points. His cast treed 8 coons. Calli treed 4 of them. Bryan said that it was a good cast and Calli looked like a World Champion. Calli has been there 3 years in a row and is/was High scoring Redbone female all 3 years. That is not too shabby for a dog that isn't 4 yrs old yet. I wonder how she will do when she matures.

Casts are drawn out. Now they are just waiting on dark 30. I bet the tensions are rising. I wonder how many times Jared has thrown up today.

ALRIGHT

Woody and Boone didn't draw out together. Its coming down folks. Will this be the year, let's pray it is. Good luck guys.

Cream has come to the top

A lot of folks don't think titles don't matter in breeding dogs, 19 out of 24 are Grand Nite's. What do you all think?

Angry Red dogs are out of the race

Just got word from Keith that Woody placed 12th with 200 for wold Champion Redbone & Boone was 13th with 175. They were going back to the woods for a little fun hunt between the two of them! Good job to both of these guys and their red dogs! Jared, you have made me a proud mom!
