my granddaughters came over tonight and was play with the pup they got up on our picnic table and the pup was treeing her head off at them, i tried to viedo it but when i went out to do it she would stop and look at me will try again this weekend.

Drifter updates..........

Eric Franks just won a second place with a full sister to Drifter who has been hunted a total of about 30 nights if that........
Now that aint bad in anybodies world.
Ill post pics of her here in a minute.
Also tanker a son of Drifter who is about 10 months old has treed a truck load of coons in the past month and was running and treeing and splitting with the coon after about 3 nites of hunting.
A few nites later, he treed 5 singles by himself.

Thats from one of the hardest hunting coonhunters in the country. Eric Franks.

I dont own anything on these dogs. I just believe in them and believe if you breed right you will get right dogs. Generation after generation. I believe Dennis has proven that with Drifter.

His siblings and pups are winning and making unreal dogs any time they are given have a chance. Of course like anybodies hounds, you have to get them in the hands of real hunters and that seems to be at a premium these days.

Great Job Dennis and Eric on the breeding and hunting of these hounds. They are fixing to carve out their little part of the coonhound world real quick. His pups are hard to find right now, but pretty soon there are some gyps booked to be bred as soon as they come in. a few this fall and some in the spring.

10 months old and a slobber mouth tree dog....and he is not a slick treeing idiot. This pup is treeing coon after coon by himself any night all night. 5 in one night and I bet if Eric had wanted he could have hunted till dawn and who knows how many he could have treed. From what I heard, it didnt take him all night just to tree five. I hear he has some kind of horn on him. I heard him bark just standing on the chain and he was loud. Havent heard him in the woods. Eric says he can flat run a track as well.

You better get them gyps down to St. Jo, Mo.....look it up on a map and make a plan as soon as you see blood.
Give Dennis a call. He is a busy man so make sure you have her cycle right and go on down there. I believe it will be well worth your money. His pups something special from what I have seen my self and others are saying the same thing.
Not related to anything of the "Latest thing" fad.
This is old style track running, cold nosed, run a coon to catch, and tree till you drag them off the tree blood.

this is very rare blood. Thats why I am excited about it and willing to help Dennis promote him.

Heard from Dennis the other day...

and he hunted a hound for a friend of his that has Drifters blood in him in a hunt last week and the dog had only been hunted about 6 times all year long......He won his cast with 625 plus points and the next closest dog had 50 plus.....
That is cast domination.
that is what the old blood will get you. No slick treeing 600 circle and 250 plus scores.

He seems to be a nice guy and the hound sure is bred right.
If you are close, Id give him a shot. I like the Skuna River bark bred stock. I have seen some good stuff from that Line. I bred to a direct son of bark and even owned a daughter of bark. I liked them both a lot.

I got my Drifter X's Lorry pup last night and let me tell you she is a nice acting pup ,been with a hauler for 3 days come out the truck tail wagging and head held high . Loves attention. Thank you Rick for this Very Nice Drifter pup..... You are a straight up guy Rick I would do business with you anytime.

Not going to raise any pups any time soon and you have just the right blood to cross back on her. Like I said, I have her brother right down the road from me so Ill have a dose of it right here. He will tear up a caged coon right now and is just 3 months old or so. He will flat get gone when he is let out of the pen. Little rascal is hunting deep like them wipeout dogs and he doesnt even know where he's going. haha your little gyp would do the same thing. She would go hunting so wide when I let her out of the pen I would worry about her and have to go looking for her.

Drifter is fixing to make a big mark on these walker dogs real soon. He is getting bred to some nice females and as the ad says. This is some pretty intense line breeding. I have been breeding walker hounds for over 30 years and its the best I have seen. so concentrated and balanced. The proof is in the pudding. Dennis has Drifter and I have heard about every dog all the way up the pedigree and anybody that hunted with anyone of those males all the way back 7 generations will say the same thing.....some of the best hounds they ever hunted with. Eric will tell you about his poor boy bred hound he used to own.

was feeding my dogs this morning and my OZ male stood up on the side of his kennel with his head up in the wind let out a big locate and went to treeing, my pup stood up on her kennel and went bug eyed crazy treeing her little but off, I went and looked for a coon but could not see one, I wish I did not live on such a busy road I would have let her loose. not bad for a 5 month old pup . I'm going to start hunting her some.
