Tim as much as you hunt (3 nights a week) and wearing out two pair a year in flat country tells me all I need to know.

I'll investigate Honeywell next.

I didn't say I wore out 2 pair a year, I did say I buy 2 pair a year......
I have a Huge selection of slightly used boots........

I looked at the HANRI facebook page and it looks to me like Muck might as well had donated to HSUS, HANRI is not our friends for sure.

Muck, the corporation, did not make the donation. Employees', in the name of a recently decease employee made the donation. So the employee's try to do something nice in memorial (at his families request) of a deceased fellow employee, it get wrongly posted on the corporate website, and now Muck should be burned at the stake. Welcome to internet America!!

Them tree hugging, bunny lovers sure like their camo boots, that's why Muck makes camo boots you know. Heard it here first, on the internet so it has to be true.LMAO

Exactly! Employees made the donation in their deceased co-workers memory instead of flowers at the request of the family members. The deceased co-worker supported the shelter.

I'm keeping my muck boots

Just for a little perspective...

Okay, you have Muck that may or may not be a supporter of the HSUS. I don't know. Sounds like an employee wanted a donation made in their name. Nothing wrong with that.

OR

You have Lacrosse, who outsourced to China years ago.

Hmmmmm...kind of hard to take the internet moral high ground here isn't it?

The question is, if there is this much demand for a US made, quality boot from a hunter supporting company then where the heck is it? Cause I haven't seen it and I'm not sure it exists.

Posted by jgandy on 08-12-2014 04:55 AM:

Muck has been made in China for years too.

The issue

There is a good chance that we will never know for sure what really went on...my concern is a simple one, that could be mended by Muck in a matter of a couple of minutes. The question is....why have they not made a public statement vowing there backing of hunters in general, and all types of agriculture? These two groups are for sure their customer base. With out a statment of this sort there will always be questions of concern. The farming and ranching community are not pleased with Muck at the moment.....and they have good reasons not to be.

Acountable

Maybe....maybe the vendors of the Muck boots, the tractor supplys, and other retailers can get a response for us.All vendors that retail Mucks products are the right arm of the Muck company. Why would that be an issue? The retailers gladly take our money....they could get some clarity on this issue if they wanted to.

Agreed, they could put an end to this fast........sure looks like their straddling the fence to save face with ALL customers. Still don't think this was done by corporate, just individual employee's........well within their personal rights.

This is the real issue

The employees....the managment of Muck boot have the rite to spend their money how they see fit...no argument there. We also have that same rite...with out a strong statement from Muck, supporting those that support them, will come to a quick end!The farming ...ag industry is in an uproar and rightfully so...they are feeding the whole world, every day, just to find this out.Muck NEEDS to get this taken care of or suffer the fate at hand.

The uproar is already dying down, I've looked at a lot of hunting and ag forums and the "linch'em" rhetoric has toned down a bunch. Muck is still going to take a beating financially over this, if their product is good they will prevail........if not, more unemployed Americans.

Don't actions speak louder than words? If Muck Boot Company was anti hunting why would they pay their engineers thousands of dollars to design CAMO boots that make the walk to your tree stand comfortable and actually do keep your feet warm in your TREE STANDS. These boots are worn by thousands of hunters every year. Part of the business model is hunting/sporting boots.
Last time I looked that was us!!

People want the Muck Boot company to make a statement. I think they do everyday the sell boots designed for hunting. If you owned a company and you were anti hunting, would you design and sell hunting boots. I think Muck has read all this nonsense and seen all the information turned inside out by uninformed people. You can't fight a wildfire with gasoline. You wait for the wind to settle down and keep doing what you do best. Design and sell boots that Hunters enjoy wearing!! Thats a statement!!

I quit buying Mucks several years ago.

After trying a few junk pairs of Muck. I went back to LaCrosse. They aren't what they used to be either, but by far, better than the Muck for the hunting here.

I'd like for Sufire to give alittle detail on there new boots. Is this the boot that they have had hunters testing for several months? If so what were the results?I would think this info would send there sales through the roof.

You sure they are American Made?

Reason I ask is because on the PKC forum for his ad for the boots, he has the Bekina boots logo.

Bekina is a German company.

http://www.bekina.be/en/

Mr. Conkey

I did not say that the Muck boot company was anti hunting or farming...what I did say,I will ask again...If the Muck boot company does support all hunting,of any kind, and all agriculture of any kind, with one simple statement saying this...........
all of the questions concerning the Muck boot company would no longer be asked! This would take no longer than a couple of minutes from their day= a real easy fix...and very quick too. This is not about any ones questions, it is about what they are not willing to do or say.By the way they make camo boots ....because they sell....if they would like us to believe that they make them for hunters they know how to inform the world.

Bekina boots

Buckshot I believe the Bekina boots are made in Belgium...not Germany. And Jackson87 ask all that you would like to know about the new Sunfire boots on the Sunfire thread...located on the vendor board.

L.Richard, you may be right...........The German language threw me off. I stand corrected.

comments from Randy reynolds

Men,

I was one of the original 5 or 6 people that got these boots to test. I was a HUGE underarmor boot person to that point. Even though they were cost alot to have chaps put on and shipping i would have argued that UA boots were the top of the line.

Mr. Miller asked that I try these sunfire boots and to give him an honest opinion. As my friends know thats the only opinion I ever give. I recieved these in March while I was in Ohio hunting. To this day i have a brand new pair of UA boots sitting on the shelf at my house that have not been worn. These boots are that good and that lite. You will not believe how lite they are, the same way I did not believe the stories I had been told about how lite and how TUFF they are.

I promise you will not go wrong. They are some what ankle tight not like the green Lacross's are. They seem to run about 1 size too big. I wear a size 11.5 roper boot and ordered a 12 in these and could have used an 11. I just wear 2 pairs of heavy socks and they fit fine.

Richard I went to the new Sunfire post a few days ago and seen very little info on them.Im very intrigued but not likely to hand over $200 bucks with several testimonials from real hunters. Not trying to high jack this thread.

There is a lot of HUNTING BOOTS MADE IN THE USA. Irish Setter/Red Wing, Hoffman, Danner, Wellco, Wesco, Chippewa, Belleville, etc.. Now a days it's hard to keep up with all the out-sourcing but buying any product made in AMERICA helps!! As for MUCK, never liked there boots anyhow but it's hard to say if they supported HSUS or not being all the BS on the internet these days. Yet it don't take but a second for them to post something about SUPPORTING the organizations (Hunting/Agriculture) that keeps them in business.

Boots

Jackson87.....if you are pleased with the boots you are using, keep on using them,if you are not...the Sunfires are worth checking out.No need to take anybodies word, check them out for yourself. And 7mile....that is my point,we are on the same page.No hunter or vendor can clear this up...Muck has to do this for themselves!
