Hunted before the rain came in. Lumber treed a 5 minute coon. I cut him again he worked a track came treed had another coon. I made one more drop he caught one in the cornfield with lots of water. That is where the fun began. What a lot of excitement. Coon dunking dogs. Dogs dunking coon. I'm standing over them just petting away and screaming get um. I love it! What a great training night. I have all on video on my phone so now if I can get it to download I can share. Time will tell.

Not a good week off. I have a severe case of strep throat. 102.3 temp and now Dr has go me on meds today. So no hunting for me.

Well no fever today and swollen tongue feeling much better. This strep throat is a beast. I will be back in the woods real soon.
Mu vs Florida later at 6 pm so I will wait a few more days before I try to hit the woods to make sure I'm good to go. I don't want any relaps of this stuff.

Took Maggie and Dragon to the timber

treed two singles and a den. Maggie looked good. Dragon is learning his name and may just earn his name what a locate he has LOUD easy to call. First drop he went about 625 yard and Maggie was at 525 he split off doing his thing she treed a coon he backed her a little. I'd type more but I'm tired and going to bed. I have to work at 6am.

Stayed home last night watching TV and playing with my Birdseye for my 320. Should have been in the timber but oh well. There will be plenty nights for that. Lumber and Maggie are like what in the heck do we need to go to get turned loose. Well the first night of season I hunt alone and I turn everything I have loose at one time.

Deer season start Saturday as well for two weeks.

low 20's and snow Saturday. I don't know if I can take it but the dogs will be ready whenever I decide to cut them loose. I'm turning everything I have loose. First night I hunt alone my tradition.

Season is on

I watch MU football last night and enjoyed the win Well at 11 pm I decided might as well take all the dogs out and turn them loose. Lumber Maggie and Dragon. I cut them loose and 1.2 mile away I heard them open and tree. I got to the tree it was a den with a nest at the top. I didn't shoot in the nest. Being that it was so late to turn loose and the dogs were all pumped up I called it a night. I didn't feel like walking another mile.
Dragon went 900 yards but the others got away from him he came in.

Deer season is about over next Tuesday so spots will open up to hunt. Weather is also getting better so we shall see. Mu Football and Basketball are hard to get me to go anywhere when they play.
