Pickup Sugar Ray 2 weeks ago from Mr. Winder . He out of Logan an Cami. Before I could make it home a good friend of mine that went with me to pickup Sugar Ray said he wanted a part of him so we now own half of him together Rusty Robertson. Rusty been hunting him ever since by himself and he is getting better evertime he takes him . He's only 13 months old and still has a long ways to go but we believe he will make it .
Rusty called me Thrusday night ( 5-15-2014) and let me hear Sugar Ray pouring his heart out on a coon that he treed. And he is a tree dog. Said he struck this coon an felt like he got on the wrong end of the track at first but staighten it out and went to work . Said he heard Ray load up twice in the same spot but just would not hook up, he said he was watching him on the garmin and he had moved down some and when he loaded up he was HOOK THE REST IS HISTORY.
Sugar Ray
Nice Report on Sugar Ray. Glad to hear he is getting to the woods and getting hunted by himself some. It takes alot of patience to hunt a young dog by themselves but that is what makes a good one.
Thanks,
Scott

I have been real busy at work and do we have plenty of it right now. Not been able to get Blitz an Snooter out like I would like to and man its been HOT ! Drove around to some of my farms that I hunt and the corn is looking good , it want take to long to get them back in shape. Time they have a couple of good runs in the's corn fields they may wish that they were still being lazy.
Bell is going to have a BUSHELL BASKET FULL OF BANJO pups . She is due between July 11-14 and 8 have already been booked so for all of you that called and wanted to wait to see if she took you better get on the Band WAGON. This should be a real good cross both have alot of old blood that you don't see alot of anymore. If I can be of any help give me a call 423-437-2045 or 706-638-3055 Michael
HAPPY 4TH OF JULY !!!!! Let us NOT FORGET OUR MEN AN WOMEN THAT HAVE SERVED OUR GREAT NATION!!!!!!!!
pups/hunting
Good luck with the pups Michael hope she has a bunch of them. Glad to see a reproducer like Banjo bred to a female with some of the older blood in her. There are some folks up in Iowa who have some of that blood and do alot of winning with it.
We have had great weather here for hunting if you dont mind a shower and cool weather. I hunted my 1 year old Creek female down at the Zone hunt in Iowa last weekend and put a first on her with 550+ no-, had 1 nice cornfield chase where she put two of them up the same tree.
Hope Blitz and Sugar Ray continue to progress for you and make some nice coonhounds.
Take Care,
Scott

HIGHLIGHTS!!
The corn is looking good around here and I decided to try it for awhile this weekend and the dogs have been laid up for most of the summer so far. They needed to stretch there legs a little an so did I. Well Friday night did not go so good rain - rain - an more rain and the worst part of the night my wife hit a deer about a quarter of a mile from the house and the damage did not help any but all an all everyone was ok .
Saturday- Rusty called me and we decided to go for awhile and see if our luck was any good . (Rusty owns 1/2 of Sugar Ray with me) So I loaded Snooter up since Blitz has been down in Alabama for a week . Rusty took Sugar Ray an a pup and his older female Jewel. First drop Snooter an Jewel struck about the same time followed by Ray. Red hot track and they were smoking his butt, went across 2 ridges and was headed the wrong way toward a black top road that had a small hill with a blind spot in it. Rusty said we needed to catch them before they get there. So we started our way toward them to cut them off and I'm glad we did .After getting everyone snap back up cars an trucks came over that hill with in seconds , what a nightmare it could have been. 2nd drop Ray an Snooter followed by Jewel struck a track that started out fair but they got it up and went to driving it straight to a hole, not looking good for us. 3rd drop Snooter an Jewel struck followed by Ray work down a small branch with corn all around them . Heard Snooter load up an Jewel also loaded up followed by Ray. We started to the dogs an notice that Ray did not stay that he went back into the corn field . Snooter an Jewel were treed on the edge of the corn field along some hedges with some hard woods to the backside of it and it was thick and we could never get it to look . We decided to call it a night and caught Ray up on the way out. Got in at 4:45 am but it is what it is.

I will be posting the total of numbers of males an females that Bell had out of Banjo this week and they are doing great . Still have 1 that has not been spoken for. Michael 706-638-3055 or my cell 423-437-2045
BANJO PUPS
Well came in from work today and mother nature has taken it's course on me. Bell is down to 7 pups and they are nice an fat and look really good but the total of males an females are not equal enough to each other. 6 males an 1 female , so now I will need to call everyone that wanted females an see if a male can fill the spot or not . Now if there are any males that are left, I can deliver them to Flora, Illnois the first week in October at the Fall Round up but under certain conditions. Pups will be up to date with there shots an wormed when they arrive and great health. The price of any males that are left over will be $200.00. I will post the total males this week that I have if there is any left.

HIGH LIGHTS!
Went last night alone, took Blitz and took advantage of this cooler weather before its gone. 1st drop I sent him down a creek bottom and he went right handed from the creek according to the garmin about 387 yards an just felled treed. Man the saw briars would cut you into, just about had to crawl into himit was Thick an hard to shine. He was treed on a pine with muscadine vines hanging out of it but I did not see the coon just could not find a good spot to shine the tree THICK, THICK. Pulled him off an walk about 100 yards back down the creek an cut him. For along time I did not hear him , so I look at the garmin to see what he was doing and he was 726 yards going south down the creek. Blitz finalley open and I could tell that the track was bad . He drifted the old track here an there and was going across a pasture into another bottom but was not saying alot on the track. Blitz was 0.1 mile from me when I last heard him so I decided to get closer and he was still opening here an there. I moved in on him at 715 yards an he just went silent for a minute or to. Then I heard Blitz load up and he was GLUED! Made my way into him an the woods were cleaner, he was treed down an old fence row . Shined an squalled an 2 sets of eyes look back , it was 2:00 am so I called it a night.
