Waited until 2:00 AM and hit the woods. Made two dens and treed two on the outside with the last one being around 4:30 this morning. Tried to mix up on the coons, we did hit some good tracks even being cold and wet, at least it was dark!

Max let me tell you Riptide got more than he wanted last night. Usher made the bones crush and never made a sound while doing it. The big pup can tree pretty nice if he can get a track he can handle. Hard to believe about a black dog! LOL! Oh and he caught one on the ground but it was black with a white stipe, odd color coon, about 540 yards off by himself when he caught this one! Corey found out the hard way!

There is one thing about the black pup, he can sure make bones crush when he locks on! No backing off from him when that coon walked out. He is an action packed pup even if we don't like some of it!. Maybe that is where his daddy got his name, bad to the bone? LOL!

It is that time of the year again! No five gallon buckets this year, going to 35 gallon plastic drums! Hope they have some big litters.

Max we are going to hit it tonight with Jango and Rugar. The wind is blowing right now at 25 to 30 miles an hour but surely it will quite down after dark. Going to hit the hills / hollers. We had about three inches of snow last night but a lot of it has melted of blown away! Hopefully by next weekend we will have a little video for you to watch!

Took Jango and Rugar 1st dump went about 50 yards and slammed a tree went in there and had a coon sitting in the den tree cut them loose from there jango went 300 yards and treed and had a slick tree, rugar split 75 yards from him and had a double. Left there and went to a new woods, they hit one and ran it about 1000 yards and treed in a barn at the edge of the woods. Got jango and rugar went on about 600 yards and treed again. Walked in the and had another double inside the big den tree. We also seen one crossing the road coons was moving good. This is a pic of the first den tree with the coon. We still have several pets around for another night.

Max the best part of the night was seeing four of my old hunting buddies setting on a cold tale gate waiting for their hounds to get treed. They said coons weren't moving! They asked if we had hit any, told them we had treed two doubles, one single, one slick and ran one for right at 1000 yards and treed in and old barn. We did tell them they needed to get a Blue dog and they said they were close enough, had a Blue English and Holsteins! They will learn!

Terry we tried to get another picture last night of a tree that two coons in it, one up each of the two big branches but the camera would not pick that far away. It is amazing on some of the shots you can get while coon hunting.

Hunted Riptide and Rugar tonight. Made 2 den trees with coons on the outside and 1 den tree we couldn't see in it. Boy was it cold out tonight. Overall not a bad night for it being below zero wind chill. Oh ya Max old Rugar is starting to like it back down here alot.
