-- Truly as close to Whitey (Stylish Clover) as you can get (http://forums.ukcdogs.com/showthread.php?threadid=928342156)

Just a little about Cube's mouth. As for those of you that have seen him in person, and on video during the TV show days, there are dogs that are much louder than him. It is not his volume that makes him easy to hear, it is his pitch and tone.

He has a clear tenor bawl mouth dog, that I personally have called him tree up to three miles away. I used to be in the habit of dropping Cube by himself, driving down the road and cutting another dog in another section. I did this with a hunting buddy one night and we were really close to three miles from where we cut him. If you listened carfully you could here him running a track, locate, and tree.

Marc Brogan had him in the rolling hills (us flatlanders call them mountains). By his account he had no trouble hearing Cube from 800 to 900 yards away.

The female, she has what I would grade as an A+ mouth. Very houndy, with a ton of volume. She has the type of mouth that makes it really tough to hear another dog on the tree. She roars like a lion on the ground, has a B+ locate and a long chop on the tree. She is a little bigger than Cube, but most dogs are. She is a small framed female with a big heart and a bigger mouth.

I sent her papers in (I got her a month or so ago in a trade deal) so I don't have her pedigree right in front of me. But let me tell you, she has as much Clover in her pedigree as you can pack in a hound....seen very few dogs with more Clover in her....and she is true to type...she looks, tastes, smells, and feels like a clover dog should.

Mr. Newlin,
How well does your strain of Clover bred females cross on House, Pac-Man and Stylish Harry males?

Can't say that he has ever bred a Pac-Man female...There just simply are not very many of those females floating around anymore around here

If you look at his pedigree pretty closely you will notice that he is line bred on Stylish Clover. That means that he has several House dogs in his pedigree...mostly coming from Lipper.

Additionally his father, The Joker, was out of a daughter of Harry, so again, if you have a Harry female it is a line bred cross.

SMOKE

Joe,
Got him from you as a pup at AO, and trained here in east KY.
He is coming on really good, and starting to split tree by his self now.
He has never given me any problems and has been easy to train.
You have a really good honest coon hound line there. Keep up the good work.
Thanks Greg

Canyon Creek Duke

Mr. Newlin,

I own a HEAVY QAUDRUPLE LINE BRED HOUSE'S TOM TOM (CLINT & LIPPER), PAC-MAN, STYLISH HARRY AND HARDWOOD BOZO bred male that I would like to make an out cross on if I could find the right female to breed to. My male also has Bozo and Hardwood Logan in his pedigree.

I was told that he is the only dog that is bred like this in the NATION.

Thanks for the information and please have a safe hunt.

Carl,

The quick answer to your question is I want BALANCE. If I had to rank the traits from first to last I suppose it would look a little like this....

Everything else can be trained.....

Carl,

You go ahead and name her Sugar....I don't have a corner on the market for hound names. I struggle trying to come up with names... So you go right ahead. Mine's name is Oak Ridge Stylish Sugar Cube.... So any variant that you come up with is "yours" to use as you want.

My son owned the Mack dog, which is the sire of this female. He produced some excellent pups that had a lot of game drive, heart, great noses, and mouths that was out of this world. The top side of him was out of local dogs that were COON dogs. Old breeding from my great uncle that goes back to Herns Red Eagle Dick, Beenblossem Buck, Finley River Dan, Hillbilly Mack, and Beaver Lake Lightning. In the 4th generation. I'll be getting in touch Joe as soon as you see how many and what she has. Good luck with Dot.

Posted by Oak Ridge on 04-04-2014 12:57 AM:

Carl,

I bred the Hayrake's Stylish Molly dog to Cube's Daddy, The Joker several years ago. I only ever bred him for a pup as stud fee two times.....and Molly was one of them. Course she had the pups, and I never got my stud fee pup, but I did hunt with one of the males when he was two....and he was a POWERHOUSE.

The thing that really interested me about her was the Lone Pine DJ Dance dog.....

********GR NT Neosho River Jet

********* GR NT Minkler's Kansas Kate

Lone Pine DJ Dancer

*********GR NT Logan's Wild Clover
*******GR NT Strang's Lone Pine Ellie
********* Lone Pine Chris

Just look how many times that cross shows up in this females pedigree! Hidden Clover and I've always been a Kansas Dancer fan!

Then I look at the Lone Pine Jewell dog.

*********GR NT Hardwood Buster
******GR NT Hardwood Dan
*********Johnson's Hannah

**********GR NT Logans Wild Clover
******World NT CH GR NT Tony's Wild Joey

So you want to talk about "old blood", this is an old man's dream cross....

Let me remind everyone that Cube's Stud fee is only $150.00, and when you show proof that you have paid the entire litter into the performance program, I will refund your stud fee......

I can't think of a better deal to offer to folks than that.

I have also had a couple of guys ask about frozen semen. I can and will have him collected, but I can't offer the same "free" stud fee for frozen semen.

Frozen semen breedings are $250.00 each, and you pay for your own storage at Nevergone, or have it shipped wherever you want.

Iknow of one dog out of Cube in Southeastern Kentucky sure wish a female or two from this area would be bred to cube at walker days.

Joe knows what i want and thats what i am waiting on at this time.

This is the look I'm going for. I avoided the clover line for years but glad I gave it a try

Billy,

The ones that look like that are few and far between.

I usually try to convince people not to shop for a dog or a pup because of looks. I am not sure that color has anything to do with ability. I don't have a female that comes close to that, come to think of it, not sure I have EVER had a female that was colored like that. Had several male pups like that, but can't remember a female like that.

I understand the color thing, im just trying to stay as white as I can.

There was one for sale on the other kennel board that was close to the same. They were both out of Hillbilly Deluxe

Im mainly in the market for a female out of Cube. something as white as possible
