You mean my opinion? I give it when I please and you asked the question to start with, oh but I knew why before I even reposted. We agree alot I believe but nobody always can.
What would calling you solve seriously.

I will be the first to admit that I ain't been hunting to hard, when you are severely lacking in dog power you usually find a excuse to stay home.

i ask questions to get people thinking for themselves and to have a decent discussion on things. maybe you should do alittle more thinking on things before giving your opinion on everything all the time and you might not be severly lacking in dog power all the time. thats one of the problems, people who least qualified to give advice are the ones that are always giving it.

btw, lots of your comments are stated n a matter of fact way, not an opinion. and we have moderators on here, i dotn need someone like yourself trying to dress me down like im a child.

I agree. our dogs are a tight mixture of these hounds together and how you described them is how they are. we do get some extra big ones crop out from time to time though lol

only 89 pups on the ground and over 10% In reproduction for Pop A Top Again.

the dam to those dogs only had 27 pups and was over 22% in reproduction. her name was Rambo's Flag "Jane" and was a daughter of Rambo II.

I own and have hunted with several different dogs bred up with a lot of the different dogs and lines that have been mentioned so far. I've seen different strengths and weakness' in all of them and from what I've read on here, I'm not too far off on what my assessments have been of different lines so far. Even if I choose to mix some of the bloodlines, I know I need to breed for the traits that I like and I am hoping that strengths will come forward and can overcome some of the weaknesses that I see. Hopefully all of us can in some way help to move our breed forward.

Jesse, Since you keep asking were there are, they must not be at your house.
Come over, there here, I will show them to you, not on coons but bobcats. Bring your best bobcat dog over. They will do it with coons too if I had any interest but with all the game, coons are too easy for my hounds.

Arrow lol

There is 11% blueticks to 59% walkers. They only allow a small % to go through each zone so we will end up at about 2%. I know I know it doesn't matter but if the odds where flipped I know where the smart money would be

Well that leaves 41% other breeds besides walkers,so does that mean there wil be 2 walkers in final 4 and 2 from other breeds? No matter what color dog your hunting you GOTTA win yur cast so throwyour percentages out the window!

In the zones winning your cast guarantees nothing as they only take a % of the cast winners. Good luck to all the real coonhunters making the trip

Dancer, Son, Hillbilly, Jet 8, Gauge, Grover, Double Barrel Durango. Pie for sure too. Brummy has held his own anywhere I've carried him. That's dogs that are alive or recently deceased, several more in the past that were a handful any time you drew them. Not a bunch like I said, but some that I'd put up against anything.

All of those have won on the big stage. Does the Bluetick breed need improvement? Absolutely. But:

7 is a heap more than ANY. Those 7 are ones I've personally hunted with or have trusted friends that hunted with them.

You've got the Echo, Bodacious, Pop a Top stuff out west that seem to win more than they lose. Hell Jesse, you're feeding dogs that win a lot. If you're not constantly looking for better you might as well quit, but me personally, I'm happy with what I'm feeding, If I wasn't I'd knock them in the head and start over. I want better but I'm not mad at mine.

AGAIN, what happened to the original question asked on this thread? just about any good thread started by someone In our breed gets blown up and taken off the subject. some of you complain and whine way too much about what others are packing when you yourselves have never won anything worth talking about. some can't loose a hunt because they got beat by a better hound or out handled. some will complain about getting beat and then talk bad about others when they do the same thing. hypocrites! we do have some nice dogs in our breed that carry good traits and just because some of you don't have one or don't like certain lines of hounds or the owners you will let your pride get the best of you and trash dogs you have never hunted with. once again shame on you! stop talking about what it takes and show us!

nuff said!

lets get back to talking about traits in certain dogs and maybe then we can find dominant things in certain lines that will help some of our dog's faults. I was hoping to get educated by this thread.
