Lots of bear hunters turning to these transmitters as a backup to the GPS collars. Even if you are running a DC30 or DC50 and not mounting the "HitchHiker" on with your DC40 it still is a lite weight changeable battery tracking collar.

Several more handlers went to running the "Hitch-Hiker" after a handler not getting his hound up until late in the day on Sunday at the S.C. PKC pro hunt last weekend.

Mike-

How are you mounting them with the DC50? One of my DC40's gave out on me and coincidentally it was one that i was also running the hitch hiker with. I did a little rigging on the new DC50 that I replaced it with in order to attach the hitchhiker to it. As you can see in the photo- I had to do a little electrical tape magic on the antenna from the hitch hiker in order to keep it streamlined and attached. I know it isn't a permanent fix. Do you have a new housing or a better way to attach it?

I just wanted to say thank you to Mike.

I have had my hitchhikers for a little over a year. One of my hounds managed to break the antenna off of the one attached to his collar. Mike sent me a brand new antenna no questions asked. You can't beat his concern for his customers! I am very happy with my hitchhikers. They sure give me lots of peace of mind!!

This device is no more than a normal beep-beep tracking collar, range should be 2-7 miles depending on terrain and conditions.

This little transmitter is no more than the "Ole Reliable" beep-beep collar that you have known and trusted for years. It weighs in at 3.2 ounces, comes with changeable battery , changeable antenna, and under collar magnet. Powered by 1/2 AA 3.6 volt lithium battery that provides 600+ hours of run time and is easily changed and can be purchased at your hunting supply dealer. Comes in most frequencies 155-221 mhz and easily mounts on with your Garmin collar or ship collar to me and I will mount free of charge.
