I have at least a couple of hundred more to go.

It is bitter cold today, my doctor doesn't want me to get out in it. So, I will probably work up another video today and post it in a day or so.

Here is a video I made about 10 years ago. The dogs in the video are dead. Penny went on to tree me 100s of coon and you can see her in lots of my videos. My 9 year old Grand Champion Lakeland's Phoebe is out of Bam Bam IV and Penny.

Here is a video of Nite Champion Haugh and Postell's Buddy II. He was out of the Nite Champion Timberstar Buddy/ Dual Grand Champion Dickey's Old Sandy cross. A notable littlermate was English Hall of Fame Grand Nite Champion Briar Creek Sandy II. I left out the tracking on this video due to time restrictions but Buddy II had a big screaming bawl on the track and put good space between the barks. He was like a lot of the Buddy bred dogs, when he treed, you could go to town for a cup of coffee, he would be there when you got back. He could have been much more than what he was as far as a competition dog and a stud dog.

Well rusty done a fine job in his first hunt!!!! He got split treed about 500 yd away from the other three dogs an had the meat!!!!! He never left the tree to go to them an they were killing it!!!!! We wasted about the whole time of hunt time on that one drop. They couldn't find there's so I came in with 150 plus. Got 2nd out of 4 cast. Had to leave rusty to get scorecard back cause tracking box wasnt working right. So a friend came back to help me an he was under another coon. Going back tonight to see if I can put another cast win on him. All the boys were like he's only 14-15 months old. Proud owner of a Dan pup!!!!

Here is an oldie but goodie. This video is a copy of a copy and has poor audio and video quality. But, the dog's abilty was great. Ruby was a daughter of Thunder Bingo and was a littermate to Nite Champion Campus Creek Ginger and also Grand Champion Nite Champion Coon Sackin' Sandy's and Sam's mother. She is one of the few I made Nite Champion. Sam is a littermate to Coon Sackin' Sandy and I think had 3 wins towards Grand. If a hard competition hunter owned Sam, he would have easily finished as a Grand.

I will come up with better Ruby and Sam videos in the future.

Soon after I made this video, I bred Ruby to Grand Night Champion Briar Creek Houdini, a dog Jim Ridge still says was his best ever competition dog. Ruby only had 2 pups. A male was sold to a fellow that lived near St Louis. The dog made a Nite Champion at 1 year old and was later sold to a meat hunter in Missouri. He was bred to a daughter of Briar Creek Zeb. One of the resulting pups was Bob Jane's Sally. About a month ago, we bred Sally to Ranson's Bam. Bob called and said Sally is starting to show. Don't think less of Sally because she doesn't have a bunch of titles, Bob is an old time meat hunter who doesn't feed a dog 5 years that doesn't consistantly produce coon in coon season. These pups that are coming should really be something. Most are spoken for.

Here is a dog from my past, Grand Nite Champion PKC Champion PKC Texas State Champion Crooked Creek JR.. Old "Junior" was a special hound. If he barked 3 times, he would show you where the coon went and if he rolled it over on the tree, that was where the coon went. I had other very good dogs when I had Junior and I often hunted Junior after hunting other dogs early or late in the season when the tracking was tough. He could consistantly tree coon other good dogs could not smell. I occasionally hunted Junior in competition. On the early coon, other dogs might be able to compete. But, late in the cast, the cream would rise to the top and Junior would tree coon other dogs didn't know was there. He was one of the best I ever hunted with.

Okay guys Rusty is doing fine a little out of shape but i think the snow will melt down enough for me to hunt soon i hope the parts they put in my knees don't allow for alot of twisting and such . I started my own post Rusty isn't the star but he's my main man .. Neal
