Writing in the Boston Globe on October 15, 2005, Stephanie Ebbert noted

Governor Mitt Romney has signed a bill that could expand the number of people who get family-planning services, including the morning-after pill, confusing some abortion and contraception foes who had been heartened by his earlier veto of an emergency contraception bill. … The services include the distribution of condoms, abortion counseling, and the distribution of emergency contraception, or morning after pills, by prescription …

Vernon its not "reproductive rights" its really the right to kill an innocent child, period end of story.

Basically there is no scientific nor medical difference in killing a child in the womb or a 3 year old like the one that drowned her kids cause she wanted a man that didn't like kids. According to science and medicine they are the same thing.

Its only the legal system made up of lawyers without scientific or medical knowledge that separate them.

I shake my head every time i hear the expression pro choice when it should be pro death. Anyone who calls themselves a christian and supports abortion has some serious denial issues going on. That whole womans choice thing doesnt wash either, i figure half of those aborted babies were baby women. It certainly is not my intention to judge anyones faith but i certainly cant see how anyone can justify claiming to be a christain that supports abortion?

And we think we are electing a President. For my Christian brothers and sisters, are you seeking the Lord as it pertains to this election? He will put into office whichever of these candidates that he chooses. In fact the choice has already been made. If we will humble ourselves in prayer and truly listen for the voice of God, the Voice of TRUTH, we will hear loud and clearly who it is that he wants. Think of it, God is not telling each person to vote for a different candidate. If we truly were seeking to please God with our vote, you would see each CHRISTIAN vote for the same person. There would be no division between brother and sister in Christ as to who it was who should be President.

In order for all Christians to be on the same page in this election it takes three things.

1. Prayer
(Jas 5:16) Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

While James is speaking about physical healing, and some would argue spiritual healing, we can apply this appropriately to every prayer for every concern. The key is Righteousness. Our own righteousness is as filthy rags, so we need the Righteousness of Christ.

2. We need to know the voice of God. Often times believers, or those who claim to be believers, will say that God told them to do such and such, however, if we are truly hearing His voice, it will be the same across the board to every believer. Talk about a lop-sided victory, no matter the party the affiliation.

3. Humility
Wow what a weird thing, why humility when it comes to voting? Simple, without humility, pride says that I have to vote one way because my Union says so, or I have to vote this way because I go to church. My family always votes democrat or republican. And Pride says I am gonna have my say! We all have our reasons for voting one party or another, and I am sure no matter your party affiliation, they are well reasoned. But let me say this, How is God voting? If we are believers, who fear God, we had better be on board with Him. All of our elected officials are hirelings. Not because they want to be but, because we are the HR department. And just like Israel, we want a king who will look or talk a certain way, instead of keeping with God being our King. Well, look no further than the story of Saul in 1 Samuel. God told Israel what they would get when they chose a king. And they got it.

With this election we have an opportunity. We will get either blessings or punishment. It matters not who is in office, God sees the heart of this nation and its unrepentance.

Be in prayer. Hear HIS Voice. Be Humble.

God recognizes 'fetuses' as beings he set apart....formed. Abortion kills those beings. Only you can answer whether you're a Christian or not but abortion is a sin (Thou shalt not kill). Vote for it, agree with it, reason it as a choice(for the woman but for sure no choice for the baby) but it is a sin.

Dave, I'm glad you agree that this election will determin who appoints supreme court justices. If it's obama, it will be liberal which means gun laws will be interpreted by liberal judges. The very constitution will be interpreted by those same liberal judges. I hope your guns are the first to go in Illinois. Poetic justice.

You of course know that there isn't. The bible does talk about swords and weapons. It also speaks about protecting the well being of families and even possessions. Our constitution gives us the right to keep and bear arms. Arms can be defined many different ways. Obviously at the time of its writing, there were firearms. To keep and bear arms. It is pretty simple. Our constitution guarantees it.
