We'll be there Yancy in some form or another. Lookin forward'ta seein everybody & their "Bludawgs". Got a couple colored just like her rite now cept they got tan.

Do have a pair of all blue ones that go back to "Boomer" more times than I can figure out. Some others that are tan trimmed as well. Thought the whole litter coulda been all blue but noooooo..

You get one of them male pups crankin in the future and I might have to bring an all blue female out of katie n moose out there to breed to it. Got a couple right now but there only 4 weeks old. time will tell.

Sure got some dandy great grandpups of "Bum's" here. Hard'ta beleive I'm talkin about his great grandpups when it seems like just yesterday he & I was stumblin around. Him usin his puppy mouth & me grinnin. Turned seven last month.

Here's Bum and Duke at the 2013 BBOA Days. Bum won Dual Grands in the show, and Duke was a double cast winner Fri and Sat night, and also won Ch males on Saturday.

Dan & Kali found out yesterday that "Duke" has Lymes disease. Wouldn't eat or hardly drink & we brought water from home, the whole trip. Dan said it was like he had half his dawg. Should be able'ta get it wooped quickly I hope.

Went 'shroom lookin the other day,just hoppin off the ranger here. I had 6 ticks on me. Five of'um was them lil suckers ya can hardly see without glasses,or I can't anyway.

My total so far is "1",true story.

Damon,Feeling is mutual! Cool that ya drew with both the hunters in our group & the fun ya had & we had after the fact! Heard of people usin cats,hides,nets,stuffed animals & everything else to mess with a young dawg to get'um lookin up. Whoever came up with the Eastern "Wild" Turkey was brilliant! That you Bill? Just think about it for a minute........ "IF" their encountered on the ground what do they do? Fly! Gets'um runnin with their heads up & usin their eye's. Not that important in hounds but none the less ya know.

To get'um "Treed" during the day, may be ruff, but its all about exorcise then anyway. At "Night" they solely pickin'um outa the thermals while usin the terrain to their advantage. On the bright nights I rekon that daytime EYE trainin may help the cause, HENCE/ Layup trainin at its finest!!

Like when ya let'um tree cats a bunch as youngsters, there's always that potential flashback at the wrong time in a nite hunt though that can sneak up on ya & plum let the air out. Been there done that enough times.

I've heard of gettin scratched for muskrat killin's,Whistle pig treein,grinners,Mink,weasels & ferral cats in the middle of ten buck two. "BUT", The very FIRST turkey treein I've ever heard of! Guess someone always gota be first rite

If ya can get the axe for a turkey doesn't that open the door for a nest settin robin or a hangin nest full of Orioles.... Food for thought isn't it. Not sure how thats looked at by UKC,the turkey thang? Either way,a extremely rare obstacle & went from a late night/early mornin dejection thing to a well used bits of comedy from everybody...LOL!! Pretty sure most heard about it before they pointed their rigs one direction or the other. Got more laugh's than 'bout anything I've heard in a few yrs without a doubt. Best part,not many knew the dawg or owner just that a dawg got scratched for treein a turkey! No harm or slam intended, but DANG,it got funny'er as the weekend went on! At least it was native hound visitin home

But that was the dumbest way I have ever heard of getting scratched in 40+ years of competition hunting. Couldn't believe it when "two hand" Dan told me about it while we were hunting Sat. night. Got several shots of 'poop' on me looking at trees with turkeys in them, but never scratched for one. Take care, Ron.

Turkey treed!

One of the first trees Rocket was ever on was a tree with a turkey. I was hunting him with Bert and his male dog, and when we were walking in I could smell blood. Rocket had sliced his rear tire pretty good, but when it came down to it neither the blood, or the turkey up in that tree bothered him from chewing on that coon LOL

Potential puppies

Am planning to make a cross with "Bum" & "Carly". She is by Pop-a-Top Again & Amazing Grace. "Should" be in heat anyday.

Impressed with the ones outa her & "Patch". Have gottin some good feedback bout most of them. I wish I woulda kept a couple more back. Hindsight thing...

The Bum getting utilized on a Hammer XVIII,Warsons Trapper,Hussler,Spanky among others bred female soon. Lota the older Hammer bred hounds.

Pretty fired up about getting my pup or pup's outa this. Enroute as I type.
