Sat nite / fun w/grandson !

My grandson and I had a good nite....went for 3-4 hours and shot 4 and dogs caught 1 in the corn / 5 total..... biggest one in pict was 29.5 # according to bath scales.

That's awesome! Nothing better than getting someone new into the sport. Took my girlfriend out last year for the first time. This year I don't think I have a designated gunner! Haha!

Took Bo out by himself last night had 2 singles and a triple on the third tree. He really had to work for the second one. I think the cold frost and not goin out right at dark had an affect. Shot 3 and left 2 for next time.

They're keepin me around that $13-$15 average no matter how many coon I take in. Tried selling 2 the other day thinking the average would be good, and I thought the coon were both good ones. 1 was obviously bigger, but the 2nd still wasn't small and I got $20 and $6.

George has been keeping us around $15 average. $30 is still tops and $1-3 for the little ones. It makes a difference if you gently brush em out and clean em up a little. I still remember the days of $45 on top coon. Don't think we will ever see that again....................Jon

Rummer is I'm 35 (LOL). Dad bought me my first coonhound the day after I was born. Been hunting ever since. There may be a few pictures around of the GOOD OL' days. I'll Look around for one or two to post........... Jon

12-6-11 HUNT

3 trees, 3 coon, 1 single, a double, and a den. Back to the truck in an hour. I don't think I got my coon hunting fix taken care of, maybe this weekend.

I was playing around with my camera, here's a video I took too.
