went tonight treed 2wice one slick tree one with a coon about 150 yards from the slick tree shot it and it went limp stayin in the tree I hate when that happens

Went last night with one of my friends and his wipeout dog. Hunted the back of Big Hill Pond state park. saw two cross the road on the way in but they were in the park We went to the back of the park and turned him loose by himself, he went out to about 450 yards came back to 100 yards crossed gravel road and struck about 10 min into the hunt and within 5 min we was looking up at ricky. Then the fun part started. We left the clip in the truck so it was really hard to load the rifle, long story short: 10 or more shots and an hour later the coon was finally on the ground. lol He was the first wipeout dog I have hunted with, he is 14 months old and he treed by himself and had the coon and didnt stop barking till the coon hit the ground. The boy showed me video of this dog as a 3 month old treeing a drag. I have heard alot of people badmouth those wipeout hounds but this one impressed me and he is a pup.

Wipeout hounds are accurate coonhounds me and my partner own 3 and wouldnt hunt another line of walkers other than our Clyde bred hounds.

went hunting with some skuna river dogs last night. treed one right away. second one took over an hour and the two older dogs pulled up short on a slick tree but 8 month old pup kept working the track and found the coon. that pup was first strike both times and she treed the first one by herself and she was at the slick tree when we got there but she was still on the ground about 15 yards from the tree still working the track, so we loaded the older dogs and let the pup work the track her self. it took her a while but she located it but wouldnt stay on the tree so her owner put her on the tree and let her stay for a few minutes and we shot the coon out, coon bit her good but it only made her madder at the coon. The funny thing was the owner cut the coons tail off and his friend was walking the dog back to the truck for him and she saw that coons tail in his hands and next thing we knew she had a mouth full of his hand. she didnt brake the skin but i bet he is more careful next time. lol

Went last night first 2 drops dogs hunted out about a mile & never pulled a bark 3rd drop they slammed one and looked great seems like the coons aren't moving until around 12:00 & 1:00 in the morning right now will post some pics tonight.

went last night 2 trees and no coons or at least we couldn't find them/ one tree was tall and full of leaves so there could have been one there but the other was only about 15ft tall and there was no doubt no coon.
