Well I saw something else from the little Brummy pup last night..I'm pretty sure shes gotta be almost a walker...We took her and my old female cause I figured little lucy needed the help.. It was raining,snowing and sleeting...Turn loose and off they go..They strike run around here and there.. Mouse trees and to my surprize Lucy pays her no attention and keeps going 300 yards and trees.....Cut em loose off Lucys tree..They strike move here and there and Mouse comes treed again..Here goes Lucy right on..Ran on up hill took her a while but treed alone again..From last night..I say shes gonna be real independant..I just figured she would be treed with the old dog..Its nice to see one so young doing her own thing!!!!!! Really I was shocked..She gets a little more figured out and shes gonna be tough! Clyde you need to hear her locate!!!!

I'm gonna have to ride up there and check her out Michael. Sounds like she operates a lot like her old man.

The last couple of times I've hunted with Dan him and Brummy have stayed split all night. Seems to be the norm with Brummy pups, they're not scared to get gone on their own and tree coons.

Still no luck with Kate, dripping a little still. We'll try it again tomorrow.

We just got back from the Roberta RQE and had one of the best casts I've ever been on. Mr. Max Honeycutt was guiding us and we treed a heap of coons. I drew Kevin Philips and Doc's Honest Abe, Mr Max's Bo dog and a nice little walker gyp named Peaches.

The final score was Brummy 500+ and Abe at 575+. We took some minus on the 2nd dump (my fault) and that's what cost us the cast win. Brummy looked as good as I've ever seen him look.

It's real nice to draw out with a cast full of folks who know the rules and are packing coon dogs.

We've been right there in all 4 NtCh casts he's been in, surely luck will swing our way eventually!

I know Im climbing on board here a little late. But never saw the post till now. Didnt realize he was bred soo good Clyde and is a hell of a nice looking hound. Besides the obvious of Jet 6, Dancer and such that Smokin Joe stuff is Good stuff. You might consider talking to Kevin Weller one day. He has a really nice older female out of Smokin Joe that is a GrNite and a Pkc silver Ch that would cross off really well with him.

I thought I just saw where Brummy posted a thread wanting a new handler LOL.... We have a hunt up here in May if you aint got him finished..You might come the night before and hunt with Lucy..I'm sure we can round you up a somewhere to stay...
