We have talked up the blues, English and some plotts on here but there hasn't been much walker talk. I have to mention an old Nance bred dog we have here. This old boy cold trails as good as anything Ive ever owned or hunted with. He gives a ton of mouth and has great feet. If a fella had a pack like him game would be in trouble.

If you're looking to make a cross this spring/summer, I'm interested in talking to you about getting a pup for my daughter. Ive been looking at Ray dogs for a while now, and would like to get my hands on a pup.

I have seen a lot of threads questioning lines of dogs with cold noses but I have seen very few replies mentioning curtis walkers wva plotts. Maybe everyone is trying to be super secretive about them but I have seen some mighty fine plott dogs come out of Hillsborough wv. My partner has quite a few of them a couple I wish he would sell me lol. Someone on here has had to have had some experience with them......

Kamphouse plotts. We get a consistant cold nose track drivers with tons of speed and bottom end or as u say big fuel tanks. Where i run bear here in idaho 90% are 90 lb all day runners that circle and figure 8's and and haul balls . we need the type of dog that gets the job done. I have a male that will catch lion dry ground consistantly he will rig them off the box to. Just to show how cold nosed he is we once put him on a known 4 day old lion track in snow and he moved it a few miles until he got to where cows and deer had completely tromped it out.

Mike Leonard at Cortez, CO. From what I understand, they can really work an old dry ground lion track. Nance breeding.
Adios,
Gary

Nance dogs that go back through Hussys Hunter seem to be track burners with enough nose to start most tracks.

I stand by that one. This old Nance bred dog is a dandy, almost makes me wish I had a good walker female to breed to him. I had two sisters to him that we bear hunted but they both were killed last bear season. Not the fastest dog in the world but sure has it all otherwise.
