I know of 7 puppies, one mama dog, one 5 year old beardog, one 10 year old walker, and one three month old dog that has died in the past five days and I do not think that this is a coincidence! The folks whom these dogs belong to will go to their graves swearing there is no way these dogs froze to death because of the quality of their houses and bedding!
As for me, I am not taking a chance!

Well, after doing a re-read and assessment of what was asked, I have concluded that it was not "The MOST SILLIEST thing I have ever heard"

or even silly at all if you think about it....but I think I probably would do the same thing you did considering the circumstances. No, I do not think you will kill your dog doing what you are suggesting but if you let your imagination wander a bit and consider keeping him in the house at night and next morning take him out to spend the day chained to a tree with no protection from the cold, wind, sleet and snow...then that would kill a dog I would think. This might be the picture that person got from hearing that statement.

That person could not have gotten that picture because he knows how my dogs are kept!

You are misreading my post, I think. Notice that there were 7 puppies and one mama dog! If you are counting this as 8 different dog owners, you would be very mistaken!

Follow your instincts-I have heard too many stories about finding the mother and puppies frozen in a dog box. bring your dogs in , put them in an exersise pen or large crate type situation where there is heat and keep the pups warm-you can even buy a heat lamp or puppy heating pad.
