Alabama will win IF Ingram shows up like he did against Florida.
They will lose if he plays like he did against Auburn!

Toby Gerhart should have won the Heisman IMO.

I will be rooting for Alabama because they are in the SEC though!

I honestly dont think so. McCoy is gonna get pressured hard and often. Take away McCoy and Shipley and theres not much left. Look at how many Texas players were nominated for awards this year compared to Bama and Fla. Texas hasnt faced a team this well coached or this physical all year. I can think of 2 or 3 QBs off the top of my head better than McCoy. Shipley is AWESOME and McCoy really owes him BIG for making him look so good!! BAMA ALL THE WAY!!!

Finally someone that actually knows what they are talking about!!!!!! Texas had one of the weakest schedules in the country!

Who ever has the most points at the end of the game is going to win. Thats the bottom line. I dont care for either team so may the best one win.

Not an SEC fan but little Colt McCoys face will look like tuna after this one.

pulling for Texas though

Posted by Ray Lilly on 12-21-2009 04:20 AM:

Texas is my favorite team outside the SEC but I'll be pulling for the tide. I think Texas had alot better team last year, they should have been there instead of OU. If Texas does'nt show up with a running game it could a long game. Roll Tide

Wow!! Let's just go ahead and crown the Tide National Champs! After all, they are who we thought they were, right? Why even spend all the money to play the game. Obviously, Texas does not have a chance (kinda like Dallas against the Saints). The way it sounds on here, if Texas can stay within 20 points, at least they will have a moral victory. Texas does not even belong on the same field as Alabama, everyone knows that. Heck, Mark Ingram will run through the Texas D like crap through a goose, everyone knows that. Everyone knows that Texas does not even deserve to be in the title game, it should be TCU or maybe Cincy, right? Then why are they there? Oh, wait a minute, I know. 'Cause Mack Brown is such a whiner, right? Everybody knows that the SEC is big balls ahead of the Big 12, right? Look at each one's schedule. Texas aint played nobody big time, right? Like Mack said, "we just go where they tell us".

Ya'll remember 2005. Nobody gave Texas a chance against USC, either. Wait, I know, Colt aint no Vince Young, right? Maybe Ingram aint no Reggie Bush, either.

Ya'll are right, it probably won't be much of a game to watch anyhow. If Texas is gonna get the hell beat out of them, I just as soon it be by 50 as 3. A lot less stress.

Alabama will put their best defender on Shipley and blitz the he!! out of Colt and shut them both down.

Posted by da.wells on 12-21-2009 03:34 PM:

if you take away ingram, what does alabama have? It's not impossible to shut him down, Auburn did! Then you have a mediocre QB, if he shows up because he didnt half the season, That is why Ingram got the Heisman, because he carried their offense.

Allen, I notice youre from Texas. Of course you are telling yourself they have a chance but an Auburn team is much different then a Texas team, Defensivley that is. I personally don't care for either team but I have watched both teams several times. Texas had one of the weakest schedules in the country and in the last 2 weeks of the regular season they proved just what they lack. Sure they won but it was sad. Not one thing about Texas stands out other then their 1 qb and 1 reciever. Alabama can pass and run. You can't ignore stats but you have to look at who they beat to recieve those stats.

TCU should be in this game plain and simple. Solid defense and solid offense.

Treberta, I am more of a Texas A&M fan than a longhorns fan and i am not scared to admit that the team i like (A&M) sucks.

What i am saying in my support in the Longhorns is that they do have a chance to win. Just like all the alabama fans who thought they would beat Florida, although Florida was heavily favored.

Texas beat every one that is on their schedule, was it always pretty? no, but they still won. I cant wait for janaury 7th.

All these predictions dont mean nothing.

See above post. Texas does not have a snowballs chance. What do you want us to do, fall on our sword? I guess we could go ahead and stop what little drama there is concerning this game and forfeit now while we still have time. Alabama is better in every position, we know that. Texas is so weak they will be lucky to even cross mid-field. If I was Mack Brown I wouldn't even let my team show up, just send us our share of the money and we will just slink away like whipped pups. Look, it is what it is, a game between two good schools. According to all the stats, Alabama should win by at least 100. Anything less will be a disappointment for all you Tide fans, I'm sure.

Again im not a tide fan. Im from Ohio and I like Cincinnati and Miami Florida. I could care less who wins the game but Alabama will win. My biggest thing is that they didn't deserve to be in it, TCU did.

OK ITS OUT THERE!!!

Bama by 100!! ROL TIDE!! Why would a fan want anything less than there team to stomp the guts out of there opponent?? And to the post above sure Bama was not favored to win over Florida but there were a bunch of us on here that said Bama would win hands down and now they got the sights lined up on Texas Good luck longhorns your gonna need it!!

Texas deserved to be in, just like they did last year! Texas sure didn't have a weak schedule and Alabama has absolutely nobody close to Nebraska's Suh!!! No, Cody couldn't hold Suh's jock strap!!!

Nebraska lost to Iowa State for crying out loud. That's how bad they were. If youre anything close to a good football team you don't loose to Iowa State.

When youre Texas it's pretty sad when the best team you played had 3 losses. How pathetic. And you guys want to argue weather they they had a good schedule or not. Amazing

The BIG 12 made it's glorious introduction last night

Texas A&M got slaughtered 44 to 20 by a average SEC Georgia team.

I feel sory for the BIG 12 this year. They will be lucky to win 1 bowl game.

My prediction is another National Championship by the SEC.

I think the Gator's should have watched the Bama vs Vols game film a little closer as TN was the only team that held Bama in place and it took a block Field Goal as time expired to pull out the win.

Texas should watch that game film closely to see how Monte Kiffin contained them.

bingo.... the national championship has already been played in atl... i'm a fan of neither but it's obvious.... war eagle

most teams that draw out against SEC teams are going to be in trouble. By far the toughest league in the country. I heard that next year, the NCAA is requiring them all to play at least 3 games against the NFL boys on sunday afternoons..lol

The SEC is where it's at boys! Like posted above it's the "big boy's league". Bama will dominate just like the SEC has for the past several years.

Oh yeah and Go Vols!
