I got another Champion win on Ellie at the S.C. State Youth Hunt. That makes two.

She also got her fourth champion win in the water race. It was close but she got line and tree.

Same here. He did send a PM saying he treed 2 the other night with the new dog.

Been taking Ellie out some on her own. They sure learn faster when they're by themselves. I probably got the wrong dog entered in the Grand American. LOL.

Ellie got another champion win on the bench today. She also won line in the water race. That was enough to finish her to GrWCh.

Trash and I have been knocking heads, so I had been hunting Ellie until my tracker started messing up. She has treed three times by herself. The first time she ran a track and fell treed. Only treed about 3 minutes and hushed. Second time she ran track, located, and treed. I only made it about half-way to her before she quit. Third time she smoked one for about 1/2 a mile, located, and hammered. Just before I got to her, she hushed. I was close enough to hear her walking, so I begged her to get back on the tree. I finally spotted the coon and soon as she barked I leashed her up. Worked her up and rolled him out. She has no fear. LOL. I borrowed my Buddy's tracker, so after the Grand American, maybe I can get back on her.

It's cold down here. Gonna try her at first dark tonight. Only saw 1 coon over 2 nights at Grand American. I want to see what The Ugly Cuss can do in the same spots.

Didn't take long for me to get back to the house. LOL. Dropped her on the bucket where we made our 1st drop last night. She didn't strike 'till she got to the other side of the pond. Worked track opening every 50-75 yards. Took it a quarter mile or so in a bay, bumping treed once, but couldn't finish the track. I called her out and got out the cold.

Rodney and I had an interesting hunt last night. We're suppose to go to his honey hole Friday night. I'll be packing "THE UGLY CUSS".

Rod said the female me and him have acted up in the water...He was worried but, I told him she had never been in water like that..May take getting use 2..Hope the ugly cuss gets it goin in Rods honey hole..Good luck...Goin to a hunt 2morrow night to hunt my buddies plott dog..Buddy broke his ankle so I am going to fill in...

The 'honey hole' fell through so Rodney and I got a late start and took 'em back to the water. Got 1 up in view and 1 in a hole in the ground. I don't know what it was, but the Ugly Cuss was almost out of sight a few times and going ballistic. She wasn't at the first tree when we got there, but came in and I leashed her up. She's catching on. I bet Rodney doesn't complain 'bout Ruby acting up the next time you hear from him. LOL.

THE UGLY CUSS in ballistic mode.

She could smell him. Don't know why she didn't tree with 'em. That's the tree he was up. What they say ? "Climb or die on the ground !" Or should I say DROWN !
