WHAT DID THE MONSTER SCORE...........GREAT DEER........

Posted by Todd K / UKC on 11-18-2008 03:11 PM:

Got this one Saturday morning on our opener. Was hunting behind the house and had to get out of my blind earlier than I wanted to go help a "buddy" look for a deer he shot at. Walked up to the house and traded my TC Encore 50 cal. for my old 1100 because I had to walk through some thick stuff. This one came boiling out of a thicket and shot him in the neck on the run. He's a little over 19" inside and weighed 166.

Since we are only allowed two buck tags, I'm back to doe shooting. But first I have to go kill some Nebraska roosters. lol

I wouldn't give you a quater for every deer in the State of Kansas and pray for a virus to thin them down. But here is a nice one killed just north and east of my house a few miles.

Land was bought by some people aka Doctors out of the Flordia area, they came killed the deer now the land is forsale.

New Hampshire Buck

Here's my 2008 New Hampshire buck. Shot on November 17th, 2008. Taken from my land at 4pm. 8 point, 182lbs dressed. He fell right where he was standing when I shot him.

Load: .30/06 with a 180 grain Nosler Partition sitting on top of 57.5 grains of IMR 4350.

Started cutting him up today, so we're having grilled butterfly backstraps tonight!!

Here is a pic of Jan and I with a buck I killed on 11-21-08. We live in a one buck county, and I had already used my buck tag on another deer. But this deer was taken on managed land, so the land owner supplied the tag that was furnished by the state. Kind of a neat deal. This is by far the best buck I've ever taken. He is a 19'' wide 12 point that scored 139.5''

Shot this fellow last Saturday at 3:45 in the afternoon.

He is my first whitetail bow kill and will be mounted on the wall......

Just wanted to debunk the myth of P&Y and Boone and Crockett bucks being behind every tree in the state of Kansas. LOL Folks, do not believe everything you watch on the Outdoor Channel.

Todd Morgan sent me this pic of his '08 buck to share with you all. Taken opening day evening, he came in chasing does. 20 yards broad side. Nice buck. Scores a tad over 125.
