it snowing like son of gun up here, just got back from school drinkin a michelob watching the temp drop
GRNTCH Oak Ridge Jake on the left side. NTCH Oak ridge clover cubed on the right.
Jake is 8. Cube is 2. Cube will be granded out pretty quick. He is a super nice young dog. Jake is a coondog, one of the best track dogs ive ever seen and bred out of this world if you like the old stuff.
theese are the only pics i can find of my pos from a few weeks ago

He's a looker! I was serious about that black dog. You are more than welcome to hunt her for awhile. The only thing is is that if she comes in heat we are going to breed her so we would hafta meet up somewhere. Shes not due back in heat for 5 months though. She is a nice nice hound and all she needs is a place to be nt ch and she would grand pretty easily.
She just always gets put on the back burner around here. She is a blow in the country dog with a huge mouth. She wont be by herself all the time but likes to get by herself. Shes a good track dog. 1st-2nd strike dog and a 1st tree dog. Shes not a world beater but could make GRNTCH in pretty short order if a guy got her in shape.
im gonna call you later..
Hope my score gets changed. I posted 4 pic and got credit for 3. lol.

We had beautiful weather here in the hoosier state..... I hunted GRNT Jake and NTCH cube.. I was turning one loose then driving a mile down the road and flipping the other one loose then going back to get the first one... this contest is fixing to get lopsided after tonight... its going to take me a half hour to get all the pics in order... It actually got warmer as the night went on and we had a slight drizzle all night sometimes it would let loose for a few minutes but not bad and a 5-10 mph wind from the south.. coon were knocking each other out of the way just to walk around LOL
Got up this morning and it is still snowing. 7 day forcast has + 4 days calling for snow. Really starting to suck. MN guys aint much help right now. LOL. Nice job last night Englishman. The weather will change here by April, I hope. LOL.

I would turn one dog then drive down the road a mile or so and turn the other then go back and get the first one I turned loose. I made 19 trees 14 had a real live raccoon (saw 18 coon, 1 triple and 2 doubles) 4 dens and 1 Iffy enough he got his ass smacked. Cube made 10 trees, 7 coon, 2 dens & iffy. Jake made 9 trees, 7 coon 2 dens. Had alot of fun! I also saw 9-10 more coon sitting up and I wasnt really looking for them.

Until they invent something that tells you exactly what is in a den tree there is really no way to tell short of cutting it down or climbing it. For now you hafta give the dog the benefit of the doubt and act as if a coon is treed. One thing about dens is that even if im 95% sure that there is a coon in it I will not pet up a dog on it. So I say until someone can prove there isnt a coon in it I will treat it like a den tree that more than likely has a coon.
Jake struck a track got it moving and warmed it up more and more until he was screaming it down through the woods. I think the coon cut a deal with jake. Climb or Die. 15ft up a shagbark hickory.

Snow is melting, hope to get out for the 2nd time in as many days. LOL. If weather holds, I can tree 100 + in 2 mo. with out much work. The best I've ever done is put up 36 in four hrs, but thier was 4 of us hunting.

Fiddled with the contrast, making it a little easier to see what you were trying to show.

Our weather is pretty nice for this time of year, other than being quite muddy. Coonhunting is what I do so I pretty much hunt every night. We should be able to run up a massive score!
Thanks!
I was messing around with it and the easiest way to see the coon was if I turned the picture into a negative.
Joe, I didnt even know I had caught him like this until I got home last night and was going through the pics. I love this one!
