I got a surprise when I went to get ivy tonight to hunt iv got a drop of blood she is a little earlier this year if we can get some pups they will be perfect for next fall will be calling

well it looks like things are working so far got down to lees and got ivy bread it was a 1140 mile round trip.ivy just curled up in the seat and slept lol would like to thank lee and bullet for there serveces. very nice people and Richard Editon even rode with me, it was nice country and nice hunting. those men are a great sorce of smokey river info .

Bullet II

Although I dont and have never owned a hair on old Blaze I really appreciate all the Men who have givin him a opportunity here the last month and a half. I have owned many hounds off Blaze and a few grandpups also (have a double bullet 2 gyp now). Every single pup I have owned off of him could tree their own coon and where all true one bark locating hounds. I was 1 win away from having the first nitech off of Blaze then Lee hurried up to finish Rocket lol. Anyhow, I believe in the dog as much as anyone and I am very glad he is getting a few more nice gyps brought to him and I know Lee is also.

Joe I hear ya it's a LONG trip from central IA too. Very we'll worth it I had a great time when I took Jenny down , and very satisfied with the results.

Thank you all for the kind words. A special thanks to those who have believed in the old dog and sacrificed lots of time and miles on breedings and his offspring. He has been a great reproducer for many years, but there have also been females bred that have proven their own reproducing abilities that I am very greatful for.

I enjoyed having Joe and Richard down. Between the three of us we came up with a few lies and a good hunt.lol. Thanks again Joe for believing in the cross. Lets keep our fingers crossed.

Tom, it looks like ole Yankee enjoyed treeing those Oklahoma woodlot coons! I remember you sure liked him & enjoyed him. I hope you can get another one to chase around those Oklahoma woodlots that you like as much or better!

Lee, I enjoy following this thread about Blaze. The old dog has proven himself, the nunbers don't lie. He has made a positive impact on the breed & will continue as such for years to come through his offspring.

I am sure happy that Joe made the trip down with Ivy!! I have 3 dogs now and a litter on the way out of Gauge and 6-Pack but I am going to make room for one of these females!!! EVERY dog in this cross ALL the way back for generations is a coondog and a reproducer I cant see how this wont work!!

Thrilled it has come to fruition and keeping my fingers crossed for puppies now!!

Thanks Vic....I had very high hopes ,as I know you did also, many years ago with Bullet II and Fanny. I wish you would have gotten more use from that cross, but thank you for giving it a try.

You got it my friend....Every hound in these pups 2nd generation have spent time on the reproducers list, and most in the 3rd have also, not to mention the hall of famers throughout the entire pedigree. I'm very proud that Gauge is getting more attention now and hope he ends at the top of the list. I am encouraging anyone I speak with to get a piece of him while they can.

I thought I would throw a picture in below.LOL!!! As you can see it was a wrestling match between Joe and Ivy. She is a great looking female and I wish I could have gotten a better picture of her, but this is as good as it got.lol. At least the men in the picture made both hounds look a bit better.

Yes, I still speak with Tom once every 2-3 weeks. He isn't hunting as hard as he once did, but still hits hit a night or two every week. All of the potlickers I have in the kennel go back to Tom & James McClary's Turkey Creek & Honey Run Kennels. As you well know, old Bullet is up close in there too. Thank you for all of your time & effort you have put forward with these old Blue dogs. It is becaue of folks like yourself, your dad, Tom, James, & countless others, that I am able to enjoy the hounds I have today. Like their owner, they are far from perfect, but they will make you smile more often than not. A couple of them even have a monkey face, go figure! LOL Keep on keepin on!

Me and Demon picked up his 1st win toward GRNITE CH, Saturday. We were the overall high scoring winner of the Saline River Classic with a score of 450+. He looked the best he has ever looked Saturday night. He is out of the Bullet II x Wards Blue June II cross. Tried to post a pic of us from Saturday night but not sure how too.

Congrats on the win. There are so many different ways to post a pic on here that I'm not sure which is the easiest, but if no one helps you out I can list how I do it.
