My pup from this cross may be the smartest pup I've ever seen. Ability starts with brains. CROCKET'S MAD DOG SUPER X BLUE. Very loud for his age as well.

Hunting a pup That I'm liking, he is 12 months old, showing Great ability, last night he fell treed on a layup, Its been hot and dry and the coons aren't moving, I believe he's going to be a special one, he is out of Crockett x Shelly.....Gerald

That makes the 2nd or 3rd one from that cross that I've heard of doing that. I'm glad for you and hope he makes a great hound. That is exactly what we thought would come from that cross. If They can't tree a lay up coon I'm not interested anymore. Great trait

Absolutely, Both carry the layup ability trait, this was the main reason we made the cross, the cross was not based on any bloodline, or personal friendship, This cross was based entirely on two absolute coon dogs with numerous like traits with layup ability being out front, other wise it would
have never been made, I do not believe in compensative breeding, it has plagued the bluetick

Oscar is showing good things at a young age, I'm excited about this pup, he is only 13 month's old and will fall treed on a layup, looking forward getting some hunt time with him this weekend, hopefully he will one that earns the right to be put in the hunts, with me that doesn't come easy, one has to be the real thing or they don't make it here, so far he looks promising, time will tell......Gerald

Crockett x shelly pups

Getting some great news on these pups, got a call on a female from this cross, been out only 3 times, has already split treed 50 yards from the other dogs and held her tree while they looked at a coon over the other dog, then went to her tree and she had the meat as well, these pups are all showing winding ability, and track drifting ability and stay put tree dogs with independency, some have fell treed on layup coons, looking great.....Gerald
