Hay Corky, we're still hanging in there...some days better than others.
I've been riding as much as possible. Camped overnight last night for the first time this yr. Not seeing much wildlife riding....a few deer and so far 2 rattlesnakes. Everyone seems to be seeing more of them this yr. Haven't heard of anyone or any horses getting bit.

some years back i posted a pic of 4 men an their dogs an 94 coon hides that were taken in the 1970,s when coon were thin, we wore out a lot of boots and dogs for we hunted long and hard, well my last buddy died today so i am the last one of the 4 hunters still alive, the 3 others are in a better hunting ground--thanks for reading--see ya--yours truly Dan W

WB, The article isn't totally correct stating no one has died from a bite in 25 yrs. A guy was bit last yr or the yr before. He died, but not from the poison in the venom, but because he was allergic to the venom.
Watchin deer in the back yd (1 doe) and in the front yd (3 doe and 2 fawns). The food plots are in the back and the orchard (Asian pears and apples r falling)is in the front.

Henry goes to confession and says, "Bless me Father, for I have sinned. Last night I was with seven different women."

Yesterday my daughter e-mailed me, again, asking why I didn't do something useful with my time. "Like sitting around the pool, drinking wine isn't a good thing?" I asked.


(Talking about my "doing-something-useful" seems to be her favorite topic of conversation.)


She is "only thinking of me," she said, and suggested, I go down to the Senior Center and hang out with the fellas.


So, I did and when I got home, decided to play a prank on her.


I sent her an e-mail saying that I had joined the Senior Parachute Club.

She replied, "Are you nuts? You're 86-years-old and now you're going to start jumping out of airplanes?"


I told her that I even had a Membership Card and e-mailed a copy to her.

Immediately, she telephoned me and yelled, "Good grief, Dad, where are your glasses?! This is a membership to a Prostitute Club, not a Parachute Club."


"Oh man, am I in trouble," I said, "I signed up for five jumps a week!"

The line went dead.

How is everyone? Hoping Florence and the rain and tornadoes she brought has stayed away from u. It rained here all day. I rode horse 3 days in a row so we needed a day off.
