Hey Doug, hunting is pretty good at lone star 5000. Some spots better than others. Pretty flat with pretty nice timber. Ponds and creeks are the norm. Won't be many huge scores but will usually take 450-600 to make the final 4. Pretty enjoyable hunt to me. I'm hunting Tuesday and Wednesday but gave to be home for a Cattle Association meeting Thursday. Gonna play Friday and Saturday by ear.

Brad sounds like some good hunting,i hope to make it there one of these days,always wanted to go see the lone star state. i guided some guys from there some years back at i think pkc e days or our state hunt it was real cold that year they were froze and so was there dogs,don't remember there names but good guys,i gave them straw and some stuff to cover there open dog box vents.

Merry Christmas Doug to you and your family!!! Sounds like your having a blast with those young dogs. I didn't get out this past weekend as I got a surprise visit from some of my Grand Kids Friday night, Then Sat. Night I had obligations with our community choir and our annual Christmas parade.
