THE LIST

BILLY,
HE HAS BEEN ON THE TOP10 REPRODUCER'S LIST OFF AND ON FOR THE LAST FEW YEARS. HE GOT BUMPED OFF BY SOME REAL NICE REPRODUCING MALE DOGS AND A COUPLE LITTERS REGISTERED. THERE ARE SOME YOUNG DOGS LEFT OUT THERE OUT OF HIM AND DIFFERENT FEMALES THAT HAVE WINS AND WILL FINISH IN THE NEAR FUTURE. IT DOESN'T MEAN MUCH TO SOME, BUT I AM VERY PROUD OF THE NICE HOUNDS THAT HE HAS HAD A SHARE IN REPRODUCING AND THE FACT THAT HE WILL BE SEEN IN MANY PEDIGREE'S FOR YEARS TO COME LONG AFTER HE IS GONE. HOPE TO SEE OTIS GET HIS SHOT WHEN THE TIME IS RIGHT. <v>

LARRY HARVEY'S QUEEN FEMALE

I GOT A CALL FROM LARRY YESTERDAY WITH SOME LESS THAN PLEASANT NEWS. HIS QUEEN GYP THAT HE THOUGHT ALOT OF ACCIDENTLY HUNG HERSELF WHILE HUNTING. HE FOUND HER WITH HIS GARMIN, BUT JUST NOT IN TIME. GIVE HIM A CALL AND OR KEEP HIM IN YOUR PRAYERS AS THIS HAS HIT HIM PRETTY HARD. LARRY IS A GREAT GUY AND TOP HOUNDSMAN, BEEN AT IT WITH THESE BLUE DOGS SINCE HE WAS 15. HE HAS A COUPLE ALL TERRAIN BOOMER PUPS OUT OF JEFF TIMM'S FEMALE THAT ARE DOING GOOD FOR HIM SO HOPEFULLY SOMETHING WILL STEP UP AND FILL THE VOID. R.I.P. QUEEN. <v>

THIS 150 LB MALE WAS SHOT DURING DEER SEASON 3 MILES FROM MY HOUSE.

THIS ONE WAS SHOT A QUARTER MILE FROM MY HOUSE. 70 LB. FEMALE.

I had an enjoyable hunt with Bentley tonight. He made 3 trees within 200 yds from where he was first turned loose, then for the 4th tree, he went 190 yds before opening his mouth, and took a long, winding trail thru some tree tops where he finally settled in under a big oak. 400 yds as the crow flies. Ended the night 4 for 4. Hope this continues, thinking about taking him to Elgin, IA Saturday night. I'm getting the itch...

THATS WHERE ALOT OF FOLKS MISTAKED OLE SPANKY FOR BEIN LAZY CAUSE HE TREED EVERY COON SITTIN AS HE CAME TO THEM. IF THEY HUNTED WITH HIM IN INDIANA OR PLACES OF SIMILAR COON POPULATION HE GOT CALLED LAZY. IN PLACES WITH FEW COON, HE GOT AS DEEP AS QUICK AS ANY OF UM AND WOULD BE UNDER A COON. LAZY DOGS

What you said about Spanky is exactly what Bo has been accused of at times. Bo taught me a lot about "coondawgs" from here on out. Bentley reminds me a lot of Bo at times in regards to the way they tree coon.

I've noticed since I've changed my breed of choice, I see very few sets of eyes on my way to the trees. If that means I'm hunting "lazy" dogs, then I'm a fan of lazy dogs, and forever want to hunt them. I pleasure hunt more than anything, so I want to enjoy what I have at the end of the leash that creates fewer headaches Sunday - Thursday. Just can't help but thoroughly enjoy seeing these "lazy" dogs put up good scores when other dogs are treeing trees.

I'm fairly certain I have a picture of the split g2 buck from last year. I'm guessing he's actually older than the double beam buck. From what I can tell, he also has at least 12 pts. If he's a 3.5 yo, it sure would be nice to see him get some age on him....
